Glanville suspended for attending Eurovision party with disgraced former councillor Thomas Dewey – and Mandelson stayed involved with Epstein long after Epstein pleaded guilty to child trafficking, yet remains a key Starmer adviser

Hackney mayor Philip Glanville has been suspended over a photograph of him attending a Eurovision party with convicted paedophile and former Hackney councillor Thomas Dewey. The photograph was taken around two weeks after the party was made aware of Dewey’s arrest for possession of child rape images and a day or so after the police informed the Hackney council.
At the time, the Labour party allowed Dewey to stand as a council candidate, despite the arrest – and has since locked women members out of Labour’s communication systems and threatened them with disciplinary action if they discuss the Dewey case and Labour’s failings. However, it seems the party considers the photo grounds for suspension even though Dewey had not been convicted when it was taken.
The response is a stark contrast to the Starmer regime’s behaviour toward Peter Mandelson. Mandelson remained closely involved with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein after Epstein had pleaded guilty and been convicted of child sex trafficking.
A 2019 internal JP Morgan report, filed to a US court this year, described the ongoing relationship:
Jeffrey Epstein appears to maintain a particularly close relationship with Prince Andrew the Duke of York and Lord Peter Mandelson, a senior member of the British government.
Yet Keir Starmer has insisted that Mandelson will remain a close adviser.
Starmer has also failed to protect victims of abuse and sexual harassment on a number of occasions, including covering up the ‘criminal’ and ‘sadistic’ abuse of vulnerable Muslim women fleeing domestic violence by a party staffer in a relationship with a (then-) front-bench MP, revealed by whistleblower Elaina Cohen.
Starmer has also welcomed confirmed racist and sex-pest MP Neil Coyle back into the party in time to ensure Coyle was able to be reconfirmed as the party’s candidate in Bermondsey and Old Southwark – and sheltered at least two alleged sex pests on his front bench for many months.

Silence from the hierarchy and an all out push to persecute whistleblowers and protect the guilty. Britain now must rank near the bottom of the list for human rights, dignity and transparency. Labour-In-Name-Only cannot in all honesty be trusted; as do the Cons-ervative & Fascist Party, with the governance of society as its standards and mechanisms decline in all areas and strata of society. With the exception of one, The Corporate Oligarchy and their ransacking of The Treasury.
Ask yourselves, would any of you have partied with Thomas Dewey knowing that he had been arrested and was on bail for possessing child pornography.
Ask yourselves, would any of you have allowed Thomas Dewey to stand as a Labour candidate knowing that he had been arrested and was on bail for possessing child pornography.
goldbach – It is my understanding that because of the election rules it was impossible to change anything before the election took place.
It should however be noted that Dewey was forced to resign before he could even take up his seat.
BREAKING NEWS – Glanville resigns
Read his resignation here.
https://news.hackney.gov.uk/philip-glanville-resigns-as-mayor-of-hackney/
Trilateral Commission members Epstein, Mandelson and the Right Honourable Sir Kid Starver. The Labour Party seems to operate a “guilty by association” policy, does that apply to all?
Keir Starmer is no longer a member of the Trilateral Commission.
The very second that Sparmer was told by his SPADS, by the Institute for Government, by Rupert Murdoch and the Board of Deputies, by Lord/Doctor/Sir/ Professor Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum (and yes he really has all those titles) and even by David Evans that boasting of being “Britain’s only British-born member of the Trilateral Commission” actually worried people and made them less likely to trust him as Labour leader, and therefore vote for his party, he resigned (some time during 2022 i believe).
He’s nevertheless still and adherent and has even stated that he prefers attending Davos to attending Labour Conferences – until David Evans relocates the Labour Conference to Davos permanently or ‘suspends’ it all together, of course.
http://web.archive.org/web/20230608030339/https://amp.theguardian.com/business/2023/jan/18/starmer-davos-labour-britain-open-business
It is unsurprising that Starmer doesn’t suspend Mandelson for hob-nobbing with paedophile Jeffrey Epstein, since ALL THREE OF THEM have been recent members of the Trilateral Commission – the international arm of American foreign policy for running the world.
Epstein is now conveniently out of the way.
Starmer has recently made a quiet exit from his membership of the Commission.
No doubt Mandelson will have some other despicable friends to accompany him in his “valuable” work in the Commission.
*** By their friends shall ye know them ***
More to the point; Ask yourselves, would anyone from the political left have been allowed, as Thomas Dewey was, to continue standing as an official candidate knowing that he had been arrested and was on bail for possessing child pornography?
If, as reported here, Hackney Mayor Phillip Glanville has been suspended for attending a party with Thomas Dewey where is the suspension of those who made the decision to let Dewey continue his candidacy in these circumstances?
Or are they, like Epstein’s buddy Peter Mandleson, too far up the Party hierarchy as to render them untouchable?
Don’t you just love “The Rules Based Order”.
It’s The Fools Based Order.
It is my understanding that because of the election rules it was too late to change anything.
It should however be noted that Dewey was forced to resign before he could even take up his seat.
Herr Flick
Are you comfortable with Mandelson behind your man
Doug – You are more than welcome to trawl through my previous comments, I’ve never been a fan of Mandelson’s.
The sleaze and the hypocrisy of these Trilateral Commissioners just shines through.
What a bunch of creeps !
johnsco1. Apparently you are a ‘member’ of the Trilateral Commission for life. You might resign but you are still bound by their rules….
But ‘Brother’ Starmer always abides by the rules when it comes to paedos. Protect them at all costs, particularly the Establishment paedos like Savile, Smith and Epstein.
It’s what Starmer’s Labour does.
Yep ……. That’s certainly how it looks.
As said – “By their friends shall ye know them”.
….and yet both Savile’s victims and their legal team both disagree with you.
….and yet both Savile’s victims and their legal team both disagree with you
Really? Asked them personally and individually, have you?
Have the MSM?
They still allow maggot hodge to sit as a party mp! Not only despite her overt, disgraceful complicity in enabling child sexual abuse, but also the slandering/libeling of victims.
FFS, b.liar even made it children’s minister.
And you support those who support that, you make all sorts of platitudes and excuses for it, and demand we also enable it by giving the perpetrators our seal of approval at the ballot box.
What’s your reason for this?
For the record, I’d rather be tory than a nonce (enabler).
Now I KNOW you’re just dying for an opportunity to throw that back at me.
Andb oull be only to welcome to do so – once you explain just why you excuse (generally) smarmerite nonsenseism.
So, when yer ready….
Toffee, of course the Paedo Protector hasn’t. Why do you think he’s allegedly run away to the Caribbean?
Why d’ya think that (at time of this posting) he’s piped down, again?
I’ve given him countless opportunities to explain his stance on the subject of his personal enthusiasm for child-harming policies and actions, and each & every time he’s swerved it altogether, or made further excuses for smarmerite-based examples – complete with that infantile, infuriating wingding.
Speaks for itself., really.
Maggot Hodge is an Egyptian national with business concerns here in the UK and pays out some 2% in taxes…pays to have millions in the bank and a good accountant.
Yes as Ducksoap said “Margaret Hodge has a good reason to oppose Corbyn”.
https://ducksoap.wordpress.com/2018/07/17/margaret-hodge-has-a-good-reason-to-oppose-corbyn/
Hodge, currently, Chair of JLM at the moment, apparently.
it should however be noted that Dewey was forced to resign before he could even take up his seat.
And you know this, how, exactly? I have neither seen, nor read , owt else regarding labour party comment since this.
https://www.hackneygazette.co.uk/news/23009959.by-election-hackney-labour-councillor-resigns/
Hackney Labour party said it could not comment today and Mr Dewey has also been contacted for comment.
So desperate to disassociate themselves from the nonsense that they made no comment when asked about it.
Any normal person/organisation would’ve been only too eager to instantly throw the vermin under the bus…metaphorically AND physically.
Closing ranks to defend the institution is the age-old strategy. Why does Starmer stand by Mandelson? Because he can help him into Downing St. What’s a bit of sexual abuse when you’re bidding to be one of the most powerful people in the world? And sexual abuse is, of course, very characteristic of the power relations in our culture. Labour will do virtually nothing to address injustice. What’s the alternative. Well, Thoreau told us long ago: Civil Disobedience. It is morally justified when the State offers no remedy for injustice. As Labour won’t redistribute wealth, maybe we need an army of Robin Hoods. That’s theft, the cry may go up. Every time you go to work your labour is stolen, legally.
Mandelson meanwhile has still got connections with Russian wealth
apparently ..
As for Starmer and his crew – in 2022 they introduced a rule allowing
Natural Justice and fairness to be contravened when deciding
on matters of discipline in the Labour Party.
I wonder if these people have ever heard of professional ethics?
I have signed a declaration that I will alway adhere to the Nolan Principles
and I belong to two Professional Bodies with principles which
would all be contravened by the current Labour Party .. I would guess that
the ethics of most Professional Bodies would be problematic for the
Labour Party..
So much for the Labour Party owing more to Methodism than Marxism!
I think that the Sermon on the Mount would be deemed inimical to
voters. All Rubbish of course for the General Public agree with the
principles set out by Corbyn and are happy about the rich being taxed
more.
In fact the Labour Party have trashed just about everything agreed on by
the principle World Religious groups.
The above is not true of ALL Constituency Labour Parties of course –
but STarmer and his crew are gradually trying to take over..

What’s a bit of sexual abuse when you’re bidding to be one of the most powerful people in the world?
Or even, indeed, bidding to control a local council?
The megalomaniacal control-freakery of the smarmerite cabal is self-evidently insatiable. Power at ALL costs.
And it’s not as if they expunged the animal once their objective of gaining the seat had come to fruition.
Once the mission was accomplished, and the seat secured, they repaid their debt to their scumbag agent by allowing it to slope off (relatively) quietly rather than being further attention upon their damage limitation ‘modus’ by openly denouncing and expelling it.
But some of us will NEVER forget, nor acquiesce by remaining silent about it.
But some of us will NEVER forget, nor acquiesce by overlooking, avoiding, or remaining silent about it.

Report : Starmer shows new ruthless side as he prepares to purge party of ‘problematic’ MPs
The Labour leader is reportedly considering getting rid of up to a dozen MPs.
The PLP SCG clearly thought that by keeping their heads down and toeing the party line on support for fuelling the bloody war in Ukraine, they’d be safe from any purge. They failed to understand that Starmer is intent on eradicating the left from British political life, it’s the demand of his true masters. Expect well-known names on the left to feature in his new purge list. The SCG should immediately organise, get proactive and demand to know what’s going on. Rather than awaiting their fate then being picked off one by one.
The article is in the Independent:
“The Labour leader is reportedly considering getting rid of up to a dozen MPs, including Liam Byrne, Khalid Mahmood and Neil Coyle.”
Tony
Yep. And I read that part too, but omitted it because it’s highly doubtful they’ll remove Starmer leadership loyalists; however bad their behaviour has been. We’ve seen pattern this time and time again, Labour right-wing loyalists get away with saying/doing things that left-wingers would be kicked out over.
Wager it’ll be nearly all people associated with the left.
” …The SCG should immediately organise, get proactive and demand to know what’s going on. Rather than awaiting their fate then being picked off one by one” …
But they won’t, will they !
Such is the short-sightedness and weakness of reformist left politicians.
Rather like Corbyn – Lovely fellow though he was.
He let himself be picked off by the liars, defamers, schemers and cloaked assassins – rather than calling them out and going down fighting.
Sorry about this comrades, but reality can sometimes stick in our throats.
Spot on johnsco1….
He clearly wasn’t an ideal candidate, remember he only entered the contest expecting to play a minor role and advance debate from the left on the party’s purpose. It was the membership jumped at the chance to get their party back from the same tory sponsored technocrats who are ruining it again now.
As leader he often seemed isolated and friendless at times, having to defend himself . And Seumas Milne was near invisible, has been ever since too; no comments, no social media output. Don’t know what that’s about.
Those 3 might be included in order to claim that it is not directed against the left.
Meanwhile, a taste of things to come if the Junta running this sorry excuse for a LP ever get into Government:
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/aug/31/labour-costs-pass-500000-in-lawsuit-over-leaked-antisemitism-report?
Just as with its own internal proceedings the Starmer clique of Blue Labour exceptionalist’s don’t do due process. Spaffing anything up to £5 million of other peoples money – contributed for actual campaigning – on the basis of an unproven evidence free allegation against individuals it does not like takes spiteful and puerile temper tantrums to new levels of malevolent absurdity.
Little wonder the Judges and the courts are awarding massive costs against a Labour Party that is operating on the basis that an evidence free allegation equates to automatic guilt without the need to prove the allegation.
Is this what members and donor’s really want their contributions to be wasted on? No wonder they are now reduced to blatantly stealing the assets of local party units which have been built up from local community based grassroots activity when the authoritarians running the Party – with no reference to the NEC – are pursuing such personal vendetta’s.
Someone needs to start up a crowdfunder of members to sue the arse out of those individuals in the Party who are doing this to recover the money for the Party. Hit these tossers where it hurts by bankrupting and pauperising them in the same way they are contributing to pauperising the rest of us.
Can you imagine a legal and court system run on the basis of the internal disciplinary and grievance procedures currently operating in the Labour party?
Where an allegation is made and those making the allegation remain anonymous with no requirement to prove the allegation and the proceedings commence on the basis of guilty until you can prove your innocence to those who have already made up their minds you are guilty.
This is a section of the Uniparty Oligarchy itching to actively destroy anyone who does not agree with them. Trusting them with any more power then they already possess would be like a turkey voting for Christmas.
If one bothers to take into account the known time-lines of who knew what and when relating to Thomas Dewey’s arrest and subsequent conviction many of the above comments seem to be rather at odds with the known facts.
Thomas Dewey (TD) was arrested on Friday 29/04/2023 just 6 days before the election on 6/04/2023 and 24 days after the latest date that candidates could be changed in that election.
The National Crime Agency who carried out the raid and arrest did not inform Hackney Council about TD’s arrest until 13/04/2023 a week after the election and Council’s Chief Executive did not inform the Mayor Philip Glanville (PG) via a telephone conversation until a day later on 14/04/23. The Chief Executive of the Council officially informed the Labour Party on 16/04/23
It has been reported that when TD was confronted on 16/04/23 he immediately resigned both his seat and his already suspended membership of the Labour Party
The house party pictured above took place on the same day (14/03) that PG was first informed of TD’s arrest. It was reported that PG said the following when challenged about his attendance at this house party.
“Being with Tom Dewey at all on May 14 was clearly an error of judgement for which I wholeheartedly apologise.
“I was told of his arrest, but not the full extent of the charges, in a brief discussion with the council chief executive the same day.
“I shouldn’t have been at the event in which we were photographed but I did so as I feared to cancel the event, or not attend myself, may alert Tom to what I knew, during what I understood to be a live criminal case.
“This does not alter the fact I had no involvement in the case, and shouldn’t deter from the actions, including moving out of the house the following day, as well as others I have taken since his resignation and conviction, which I have made clear in previous statements.”
Given that to date there doesn’t appear to be any evidence that the Labour Party knew anything about TD being arrested and bailed until at least a week after the election had taken place then any assertions that Labour allowing TD to stand in the election knowing that he was on bail for the possession of child porn appears to be nothing more than ill-informed hyperbole and innuendo.
Maybe an enquiry will reveal further details but unless someone else has some credible evidence that presents a radically different time-line on who knew what and when then it looks like the Labour Party were never in a position prevent anything to do with this and given their knowledge at the time acted appropriately throughout.
Ooops – I’ve obviously messed up the dates above but the gist of what I’ve said remains the same. Here’s the corrections.in bold
