Watch MPA manifesto launch live from 4pm today with Dempsey, Hodson and more

Skwawkbox will be streaming the manifesto launch of the indomitable Mersey Pensioners’ Association – who terrify Sir Kid Starver – this afternoon from 4pm. Speakers include the RMT’s Eddie Dempsey, the Bakers’ Ian Hodson, PCS’s Tracey Hilton and more, live from the famous CASA socialist dockers’ club in Liverpool.

The manifesto, seen by Skwawkbox, is a document that lays out what the UK needs – and highlights the glaring absence of any meaningful offer from the so-called ‘main’ parties.

Watch below, or on Facebook, YouTube and on the Skwawkbox Twitter feed.

  1. ‘We oldies have life experience.
Are well read, and everything we did see.
We learn, go for it, you only have one life.
A Left Wing Democratic Socialist world there should be.’

    1. Can’t find it on Skwawkbox Twitter feed. Good to have the FB & YT videos as I was busy.

But the Twitter link just shows the Skwawkbox Twitter page with no MPA video on the Twitter feed that I can find.

  2. Off topic, but I went out earlier to get a few things and, as such, spotted the Daily Mail front-page headline today. It was in big capital letters, and then a sub-headline underneath underlined:

    HOW CALLOUS CAN YOU GET?

Despite record NHS waiting lists, junior doctors and consultants announce
first joint strike with co-ordinated walk-outs over 4 DAYS

Yes, well they did support Hitler and the Nazis of course. And they haven’t changed!!

    1. Oh right, I nearly forgot…. and whilst looking for the story on their website so that I could copy the headline etc word for word, I happened to come across a little rhyme in a headline (coincidentally!), which exemplifies just what a serious and mature paper the Mail is:

QUENTIN LETTS comes home to the Mail: Sir Keir’s a steaming bore, constipated as a camel, swivelling on every policy like a wonky trolley.

  3. …….and I thought every pensioner voted Tory, but at least not on Merseyside.
