Excl: Tories suspend ‘antisemitic tweet’ candidate

Last night, the SKWAWKBOX revealed the antisemitic, homophobic and sexist comments tweeted by Conservative local election candidate George Stoakley.

The SKWAWKBOX contacted Conservative headquarters (CCHQ) to inform them of the comments and invite comment. A CCHQ spokesperson responded:

George Stoakley has been suspended and an investigation is underway.

With the ballot taking place a week from now, it appears the Tories will be one candidate down in South Cambridgeshire, although Mr Stoakley may still stand as an independent.

The mainstream media still do not appear to be paying any attention to the story.

  1. They may have suspended him (which the MSM will use as evidence of how the Tories deal quickly with the issue), but his name will still be on the ballot paper (and as I suspect the LA will have already printed them) so will his party affiliation. If elected, how long before he takes the Tory whip on the LA?

    1. Not “surprising” at all really. Only this lunch time the BBC sought fit to yet again push the anti semetic narrative regarding Labour, ably supported by an appearance by Chris Lesley…

      1. Looking forward to the regular anti-Semitism slot on question time this week. It’s always good television.

  2. Well done to the person who investigated him.

I hope everybody will follow his excellent example.
