Suspicions of more selection vote-rigging as Starmer aide’s son beats Palestinian aid CEO

Starmer chief of staff Sue Gray’s son Liam Conlon wins Beckenham and Penge vote after flood of online and postal votes

Liam Conlon won the selection thanks to postal and online votes

Liam Conlon, the son of Keir Starmer’s chief of staff Sue Gray, has been selected as Labour’s candidate in Beckenham and Penge by just eight votes ahead of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) chief executive Melanie Ward – reportedly after a surge of postal and online votes.

Labour has just been forced to cancel and investigate a selection contest in Croydon, just three miles away, after allegations of rigged voting to advantage a candidate preferred by the party, with the ‘Anonyvoter’ online voting software named as a key concern in local reports.

Croydon East Labour members have meanwhile related suspicious delays and inconsistencies with the way access to the Anonyvoter remote voting system had been handled.

Inside Croydon‘s report of the cancellation

As Skwawkbox exclusively revealed in 2021, the contract for Labour’s online voting was awarded by the Labour party to a connection of party general secretary David Evans, without any competitive bidding.

Bizarre postal vote quantities have also featured heavily in selections favouring the Starmer regime’s preferred candidates.

Journalist Michael Crick announced the news of Conlon’s selection and the voting composition. Respondents were quick to express their suspicions and lack of surprise:

Starmer’s Labour has also been accused of rigging votes to exclude left-wing MPs and conference delegates – and of shutting down local party groups (CLPs) to prevent inconvenient results.

  1. Yes, just eight votes, apparently.

    …Eight, in Latin, is ‘octo’.

    …As in ‘octo’pus.

    …Which makes the result antisemitic..

Yes, I know – but it is t me… that’s the desperation of these total gobshites. They’d make both mugabe and goebbels cringe.

    1. The other day, I saw an advert for, I think, Radox. It featured an octopus if I remember correctly.

      1. Reply to Tony
Radox or whoever it was who had the cheek to feature an o***pus in their advertising will probably have to crawl oon their hands and knees to the powerful Israel/Zionist lobby and apologise profusely for their “offensive” behaviour. Unless advertising agency does likewise they will be blacklisted and put out of business. The lobby will then demand that the “antisemite” who devises the advert will probably be sacked and never work in advertising again. Meanwhile in Gaza and the West Bank…………….

  2. Just as strange in its own way, the moment I put anything critical of Starmer on the Guardian (If it stays on, which it frequently doesn’t, even though it breaks no “house rules,”) an insulting riposte is immediately made (which frequently breaks “house rules”) and is recommended by dozens. Something similar happened many times in 2019 for any post in support of Corbyn ….

  3. Eight votes. “Suspicious delays and inconsistencies” with Anonyvoter. This is how ‘the system’ protects itself.

Atlanticist-supreme, Starmer’s War on Decency makes “enemies of enemies” good and Medical Aid for Palestinians bad, anti-Semitic even!

Sir Keir Rigging Starmer. His father would be disgusted in him.

    1. I bet Sir Keir of Davos has bought a brand-new yarmulke for the funeral already. Was it covid, Russian bomb, British Gas bill or cancer?

      1. Typical rightwing entryist ploy – Kissinger has nothing to do with the debate about subversion of democracy in Adolf Stamer’s Labour Party.
qwertboi and others should not be led off topic by a troll with a repeated history of rightwing subversion.
Kissinger was a monster but it is Starmer who has subverted Party democracy and is an enemy of Labour traditionalists.

      2. In 2019 Labour in its traditionalist manifestation got 10,269,051 votes. That’s 1 million more votes that Miliband and Blair’s last efforts and 2 million more votes than Browns’
Labour traditionalist 2017 vote was 12,877,918. That’s the largest Labour GE turnout this century.
That’s GE facts not dodgy polling PR material.

    2. Breaking news? What the fuck are you on about, Steve? I have read the time of your comment right, haven’t I? 3:22pm. You were only about 12 hours late!

      Do keep up…

      1. timfrom is bang on.
Certain trolls will desperately post anything off topic as long as it distracts from petit-fascist Adolf Starmer’s subversion of democracy in the Labour Party.
They’ll even suddenly – and against all their previous history – start mudding the water with out of the blue criticism of Israel.
Clearly Israel’s atrocities deserve to be critiqued but not with any credibility by Blairite Starmer supporters.

      2. Bernie – ……and yet here you are displaying classic troll behaviour. 🤔

“They’ll even suddenly – and against all their previous history – start muddying the water with out of the blue criticism of Israel.”
Really, you obviously haven’t bothered to read my comments and the various links that I have posted before making your unfounded accusations.
I don’t recall ever posting anything on these pages that could be construed as support for the actions of the Israeli state, on the contrary I have posted the links to numerous articles that are critical of Israel.
You are more than welcome to try proving otherwise. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

      3. Just a point of clarification. I mostly offer sources or references of traditional leftist positions on topics. I only ever mention other comment posters by name – such as here timfrom – when I am in support of their positions. The rest of the time I might criticise patterns of troll behaviour and repetitive strategies of subverting debate, but never give the perpetrator the prominence of being named.
Amazingly often after this, the guilty party will step forward to self-identify as the troll culprit!

      4. Bernie – Oh dear, if only we were all as clever as you think you are. 😼

      5. Bernie – ps, a simple admission that you can’t back up your ‘assertions” would have been far more credible.

  4. A very long and detailed article (follow the link below, it is worth the effort)

‘A mass assassination factory’: Inside Israel’s calculated bombing of Gaza
Permissive airstrikes on non-military targets and the use of an artificial intelligence system have enabled the Israeli army to carry out its deadliest war on Gaza, a +972 and Local Call investigation reveals.
    Yuval Abraham – November 30, 2023
The Israeli army’s expanded authorization for bombing non-military targets, the loosening of constraints regarding expected civilian casualties, and the use of an artificial intelligence system to generate more potential targets than ever before, appear to have contributed to the destructive nature of the initial stages of Israel’s current war on the Gaza Strip, an investigation by +972 Magazine and Local Call reveals. These factors, as described by current and former Israeli intelligence members, have likely played a role in producing what has been one of the deadliest military campaigns against Palestinians since the Nakba of 1948.
The investigation by +972 and Local Call is based on conversations with seven current and former members of Israel’s intelligence community — including military intelligence and air force personnel who were involved in Israeli operations in the besieged Strip — in addition to Palestinian testimonies, data, and documentation from the Gaza Strip, and official statements by the IDF Spokesperson and other Israeli state institutions.
