Skwawkbox going to London to cover Ware/Panorama libel case. If you’d like to help, here’s how

As Skwawkbox reported last week, Press Gang journalist Paddy French will defend his description of John Ware’s Panorama programme ‘Is Labour antisemitic?’ at the High Court in November. Ware is suing after French said the programme, which featured among its ‘whistleblowers’ at least two former party staff accused in a leaked Labour report of hindering Corbyn’s efforts to combat antisemitism – and a woman recorded by an undercover Al Jazeera reporter discussing beating up black left-wing Jewish activist Jackie Walker – was ‘rogue journalism’. French described the case as a ‘unique opportunity for the issue of antisemitism in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party to be explored in a forensic setting’ and Pink Floyd musician Roger Waters said it was ‘fundamentally important’.

Last month, Skwawkbox went to London to cover MP Claudia Webbe’s appeal against her magistrates’ court conviction on a single count of harassment, as well as former Labour staffer Elaina Cohen’s tribunal accusations against Labour right-winger Khalid Mahmood. Its reporting, on both those cases and particularly the content and outcome of the Webbe hearing, stood out in stark contrast to the ‘mainstream’ media narrative designed to shore up the Establishment version of events and which ignored or skewed large parts of the evidence.

So Skwawkbox will again go to London to cover the four-day case between French and Ware, who dropped a similar case against former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn after Corbyn’s supporters raised a huge sum for his legal defence.

  1. My biggest concern is if the Leaked Report is deemed inadmissible in court. (My understanding is mere possession of a copy is a breach of data protection legislation.)

    1. The Leaked Labour Party Report – March/April 2020, is freely available online, and in full, if you care to look for it.

Meantime, a review of The Report, by Craig Murray, is here, to save you having to trawl through the 851 pages of The Report, itself :

      https://www.craigmurray.org.uk/archives/2020/04/that-leaked-labour-party-report/

Further, this video has emerged, on the lengthy delay of the publication of The Forde Report – the inquiry into The Leaked Labour Party Report. There’s a lot of information in it, and you have to listen very carefully. Stand out for me was the involvement of Michael Ashcroft, in Belize, which raises more questions. Why is/was he involved in a Labour Party inquiry, for one.

    2. Do mean possessing a copy of the the leeked Labour Party report is a breach of the Data Protection legislation in the same way that Labour’s loss of thousands of it’s members personal data is?

  2. Izzy Lenga – who was a member of JLMs National Executive Committee at the time, and still is – said she was subjected to anti-semitic abuse every day. She didn’t say WHERE she was subjected to the anti-semitic abuse every day, but she’s a JLM officer, and if she says that’s what happened, then it’s an open and shut case.

Thinks……. I wonder if the anti-semitic abuse continued every day AFTER the Panorama programme aired? Funny how she never at any point thought to record it though.

PS If I remember correctly, seven of the ten Jewish LP members who participated in the programme were JLM officers, and one of the other three was a former JLM officer (up until a few months before the programme aired); but for some strange reason John Ware and Co decided not to mention the fact (in captions) in the programme. Anyway, if you haven’t seen it or you want to check it out again:

    1. And here’s a link to Paddy’s article (scroll down the page a bit and you’ll see the following headline: Political storm rages over BBC’s ‘rogue’ journalism):

      https://www.bailii.org/ew/cases/EWHC/QB/2021/384.pdf#page=9

NB And just for the record, Ofcom – which he mentions at the end of his article – rejected the complaints about the programme, as you’d expect!

      1. And here’s over one thousand people signing up to a super massive black lie about Ken Livingstone and, as such, subverting democracy:

        https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2017/apr/06/jewish-labour-members-say-livingstone-must-go

NB When Ken said that ‘Hitler was supporting Zionism’, he was alluding to The Haavara Agreement, and what he meant of course was that Hitler approved – and in effect supported – the agreement (if he HADN’T, it would never have materialised), and every single one of the people who signed the letter knew full well that THAT is what Ken meant. And they ALSO knew of course that the claim that Ken said Hitler was a Zionist was a total falsehood, concocted and contrived for the obvious reason, and endlessly repeated by practically the WHOLE of the MSM. Here’s the sum total of what Ken said, and it was Vanessa Feltz who brought up Hitler, not Ken:

“Let’s remember when Hitler won his election in 1932 [he meant the 1933 election], his policy then was that Jews should be moved to Israel. He was supporting Zionism – this before he went mad and ended up killing six million Jews.”
