Labour appoints right-winger who quit to join Tinge as ‘Liverpool officer’

Starmer’s war on Liverpool continues

Keir Starmer has declared war on the people and party members of Liverpool.

After having an aide brief the media that he intended to ‘break legs’ in the city, Starmer went on to interfere in the candidate selection process for the Liverpool mayoral election, write for the rag known on Merseyside as the Scum and then barred all left-wingers from shortlists for three by-elections in the country’s most left-wing city – embarking on a programme seemingly calculated to turn Liverpool into the kind of Labour wasteland the party’s right made of Scotland before and during the Scottish independence referendum.

And now, he and his cronies have appointed a woman to be the party’s ‘Liverpool officer’ – who quit Labour to join the short-lived and ridiculous Change UK, which became known as the ‘Funny Tinge party’ after racist comments by one of its founding defectors from Labour.

A bulletin has gone out to ‘all stakeholders’ in the city to inform them that Sheila Murphy, a former regional party enforcer who jumped ship for Tinge, is now the ‘NEC appointed’ officer for the city:

Dear Liverpool Stakeholders,

I am writing to inform you that former Labour North West Regional Director Sheila Murphy has been appointed as Liverpool Officer (NEC Appointed). The role will involve carrying through the proposals made by the NEC panel in response to the Caller Report.

Sheila has a wealth of experience working for the Labour Party in roles within Liverpool, the North West and nationally spanning many years. She is hugely knowledgeable and well respected and her strong background makes her perfectly positioned to take on this important role.

Sheila implemented the recommendations from an inquiry into the Liverpool Labour Party in the early 2000s. Sheila managed the office of the former Liverpool Wavertree MP Luciana Berger and ran Steve Rotheram’s campaign to become the Metro Mayor in 2017.

Some of Sheila’s key achievements are:

Regional Officer – 1999-2000

North West Deputy Regional Director 2000 – 2003. During this period Sheila was responsible for implementing the recommendations of the NEC recommendations following an NEC inquiry…

Office Manager for Luciana Berger MP – 2010 – 2013

Labour’s Scottish Referendum Campaign Director – 2014…

Sheila has overseen numerous Parliamentary By-elections across the country.

The Caller report raised serious issues and Labour is fully committed to doing whatever is necessary to regain trust and confidence in our Party. Sheila will be in touch with many of you in the coming days and weeks. I hope that you will work closely with Sheila to assist in the implementation of the Liverpool Panel Recommendations.

Best wishes,

Liam Didsbury
Regional Director

Murphy defected to Tinge in May 2019, making a smear attack on Labour’s new members inspired by the party’s vision of real change under Jeremy Corbyn.

Now, having helped turn Scotland into a Labour desert, she is back with Labour in Liverpool. What could possibly go wrong?

Starmer’s war on Labour is a scorched-earth one.
