“Would you go on a 60-mile trip to test your eyesight?” Gove: “I have on occasions in the past”

Tory operation to save Dominic Cummings plumbs new depths

The Tory scramble to save Dominic Cummings’s skin reached a new low today when Michael Gove appeared on LBC.

Asked whether he would take a 60-mile drive ‘to test his eyesight’ – as Cummings has claimed he was doing when he went from Durham to Barnard Castle during the lock-down – Gove responded:

I have on occasions in the past.

He then seemed to realise there was no way to carry that sentence through to a conclusion without looking ridiculous – but the evidence is there on video:

Meanwhile, parliamentary leaders of six opposition parties have written to Boris Johnson to demand he sack Cummings for endangering the public. But not Keir Starmer, who seems to be ‘doing a Johnson’ and avoiding the media rather than add his voice to those trying to defend the public against the arrogance of the Tories. The ‘leader of the opposition’ needs to start opposing.

  1. And Corbyn was slagged off for “missing an open goal” for not winning the 2017 GE.
    I don’t think Starmer’s had a touch yet.

That is a football expression isn’t it – “had a touch?” – I’m sure I heard it once.

  2. The knight of the realm, member of the club of persecuting political prisoners, employee of the Rockefeller right wing anti democratic organization, refusnik of democratic results, wrecker of parties, recipient of secret donations from zionist apartheid supporters is one side of the same coin. When he receives instructions from his string pullers, he might make an utterance but don’t expect him to upset the status quo agenda.

  3. Tory Michael Gove, Reece-Mogg Cum cums’ johnson’s 1% “instinct”. So v “brainy”.
Dire Starmer approves. Dire v afraid 2 upset donors. SH’s SIR’s ONLY priority. Check Stoma’s DPP record. Most super rich escaped prosecutions. Bad news Starmer. V bas. Worse than u can imagine. Cummings going. Only 2 background. But we’re still infested by SH, its SIR & Co plotters.

      1. a devoted Starmer fan on skwawkbox “SteveH”. Abbreviation SH, it short + accurate. 🤣😂😅

      2. … Abbreviation SH, it’s short ➕✅✅✅

  4. Kier Starmer “If I was the PM I would have sacked Cummings”
Labour has also called for an official investigation into Dominic Cummings actions.

    1. SH it is clear your SIR Starmer is WAY behind the curve. ➕ “Official investigation…” only kicks state CRIMES into v long grass WAY behind the curve🌹🌹🌹

    2. Translation, kicking the issue into the long grass. You were in favour of a People’s Vote, were you? Why don’t you start demanding from Starmer to sack Cummins? It never stopped you asking Corbyn for the impossible.

      1. Don’t ask for longwinded inquiries. DEMAND Cummings resigns. FIND crimes and DEMAND prosecutions. Keep up the pressure.
QUESTION: Grenfel, Hillsborough, Buttler re Iraq and two others. Tell me one INQUIRY which has served victims and got the criminals punished❓❓❓ Name one. Just one in this country. Who do you think the authorities to conduct the inquiry❓❓❓ Lots of Grendel etc was or maybe in secret. ASK THE PEOPLE OF HILLSBOROUGH.

WHY ARE THE MANY PROSECUTED IN COURTS QUICKLY YET well meaning people obsess about inquiries for state CRIMINALS❓❓❓ Hillsborough took THIRTY YEARS. Ask the people of Hillsborough.

      2. Maria Vazquez, u could not be referring to me. But just in case have you read any of my posts since September❓❓❓ I despise the “People’s” Vote people. Hope u r no doing a jp. 🌹🌹🌹

    3. “If I was the PM I would have sacked Cummings”

And that’s been the reaction of millions of others – who have also had plenty more to throw at the arrogant bastard and his toerag defenders.

But NOT sir slick. Inspector Remorse. Lord Tedious of Twatshire. Mr Mogadon himself, etc etc etc

No sir, Not he. He’s attempting to sink the ‘good ship conservativism’ with torpidity, not torpedoes.

He’s said he’d have sacked cummings and that’s the end of THAT.

I think I can almost empathise with Henry VIII when he was shown portraits of Anne of Cleeves, only to discover that when he got to see her in the flesh she was more reader’s wife than supermodel.

The difference is, the europhile contigent creamed themselves over starmer knowing full well what they were gonna get (and lumber everyone with) in the process.

I’ve seen more animated statues than ‘Easter Island head.’

      1. He’s attempting to sink the ‘good ship conservativism’ with torpidity, not torpedoes.

        Nice one. Class! 😂

    4. SteveH, I don’t follow Starmer’s pronouncements but if as you say he said if he was PM he would sack Cummings, he obviously thinks Cummings should go. Then why on Earth should he not call upon Bozo to sack him?

      1. And more to the point, why not tell the world that if de piffle doesn’t sack cummings, then de piffle must go, too?

Is starmer seasick? Because he seems shit-scared of making as much as a ripple in the water, nevermind rocking any boat(s).

      2. Jack – Maybe because he hasn’t sacked the 4 Labour MPs who have ‘broken’ lockdown rules

      3. ‘Maybe because he hasn’t sacked the 4 Labour MPs who have ‘broken’ lockdown rules’

Further evidence of establishment blairite cronyism. Kinnock = Anti-Corbynist, bliarite and europhile. Ali = europhile Jones = Pro-trident, Pro-Syrian interventionist AND supporter of Saudi murder in Yemen, anti-Corbynist. Surprise, surprise, also LFI. Well, well…

As for the other one I neither know who it is, nor do I care. Sir career should sack him/her, too.

      4. Steveh, therefore as we always knew, Starmer is a hypocrite!

    5. Starmer has sackings within labour to get cracking on.

      The backstabbers opinion is worthless

  5. So Gove failed his driving test 6 times, the wanker.
A driving instructor once told me he was ‘sending his kids to university’ on what he earned out of one tobacco company executive – I think he said he’d had upwards of 250 lessons and failed I don’t know how many times.

“I needed to make sure my eyes were OK to drive back to London” is fag-paper thin and no justification whatever – but what would be?
What would be a better lie?

Suggestions on a postcard please, to:

I’m serious. Wind the fuckers up and copy the media with emails. The Tories don’t publish an email address that I could see.

      1. Dear conservatives

Can you at least remind starmer he’s supposed to be the opposition? It’s looking a mightily suspect, him doing your bidding by his cowardly acquiescence; even if you are his controllers.

        The Toffee.

      2. The Toffee (597) at 5:47 pm

Are you hoping that your correspondence to your new masters will carry more weight now that you’ve declared yourself to be a Tory voter

    1. How do you work THAT one out, knobhead?

*Awaits yet another one of steve h’s famous ‘mushroom moments’

      1. Toffee – I thought you had made yourself quite clear when you posted this just a few days ago

        The Toffee (597) 23/05/2020 at 4:31 pm

Where’s the defender of the indefensible?

We’ve had a most idiotic comment already courtesy of peter berry, but I’m waiting for the usual candidate to trump it.

There IS, however, a simple solution to prevent starmer from getting his own fiefdom, and that is to withdraw finances from the party by leaving altogether. Let the 70% fight their battles and cover their own arses and form their own cliques without YOUR fianancial ammunition. Don’t pay them for the privilege of ostracizing you.

And yes, I’d rather vote toerag than that shower of shit. At least I’d have an idea of where I stood under the toerag

Was I wrong to presume that toerag refers to the Tories and shower of shit reoffered to a Starmer Labour. Given its context and your frequent attempts to undermine Keir Starmer it would be difficult to interpret it in any other way..

      2. @SteveH

Why are you still here? It’s clear your interests are not in line with the many. And as for posting about undermining…does the phrase ‘Pots and kettles’ mean anything to you?

Toffees post is accurate. Why would anyone seeking change vote for the very man determined to stop it? Using your own descriptions of Stoma, he is at the very least a class traitor. But thats nothing compared to the bigger picture. Stoma is yet another whore for 30 shekels. We’re already seeing the firm evidence.

He’s sold us all out. And whilst I’d never ever vote blue, I’m not going to vote for another enemy either. And that is Kia Stoma’s Labour, the enemy.

I find myself thinking of Malcolm X’s description of Liberals.

The white liberal is the worst enemy to America, and the worst enemy to the black man. Let me explain what I mean by the white liberal. In America there is no such thing as Democrat or Republican anymore. In America you have liberals and conservatives. The only people living in the past who think in terms of I’m a Democrat or Republican, is the American Negro. He’s the one that runs around bragging about party affiliation. He’s the one that sticks to the Democrat or sticks to the Republican. But white people are divided into two groups, liberals and conservative. The Democrats who are conservative, vote with the Republicans who are conservative. The Democrats who are liberal vote with the Republicans that are liberal. The white liberal aren’t white people who are for independence, who are moral and ethical in their thinking. They are just a faction of white people that are jockeying for power. The same as the white conservative is a faction of white people that are jockeying for power. They are fighting each other for power and prestige, and the one that is the football in the game is the Negro, 20 million black people. A political football, a political pawn, an economic football, and economic pawn. A social football, a social pawn. The liberal elements of whites are those who have perfected the art of selling themselves to the Negro as a friend of the Negro. Getting sympathy of the Negro, getting the allegiance of the Negro, and getting the mind of the Negro. Then the Negro sides with the white liberal, and the white liberal use the Negro against the white conservative. So that anything that the Negro does is never for his own good, never for his own advancement, never for his own progress, he’s only a pawn in the hands of the white liberal. The worst enemy that the Negro have is this white man that runs around here drooling at the mouth professing to love Negros, and calling himself a liberal, and it is following these white liberals that has perpetuated problems that Negros have. If the Negro wasn’t taken, tricked, or deceived by the white liberal then Negros would get together and solve our own problems. I only cite these things to show you that in America the history of the white liberal has been nothing but a series of trickery designed to make Negros think that the white liberal was going to solve our problems. Our problems will never be solved by the white man. The only way that our problem will be solved is when the black man wakes up, clean himself up, stand on his own feet and stop begging the white man, and take immediate steps to do for ourselves the things that we have been waiting on the white man to do for us. Once we do for self then we will be able to solve our own problems’ “The white conservatives aren’t friends of the Negro either, but they at least don’t try to hide it. They are like wolves; they show their teeth in a snarl that keeps the Negro always aware of where he stands with them. But the white liberals are foxes, who also show their teeth to the Negro but pretend that they are smiling. The white liberals are more dangerous than the conservatives; they lure the Negro, and as the Negro runs from the growling wolf, he flees into the open jaws of the “smiling” fox. One is the wolf, the other is a fox. No matter what, they’ll both eat you.

Toffee and millions more (myself included) have taken themselves off the menu.

      3. NVLA – I don’t ever recall accusing Starmer of being a class traitor. Could you provide a direct quote and a link.

As for the rest, I got bored, however I did manage to glean that you don’t much care for Keir Starmer and that you’d rather have another Tory government than vote for Labour so it wasn’t a total waste of time and effort.

      4. SteveH claims “I did manage to glean that you don’t much care for Keir Starmer and that you’d rather have another Tory government” despite NVLA saying “And whilst I’d never ever vote blue, I’m not going to vote for another enemy either”.

I’m not surprised Malcolm X went over your head, though…

      5. timfrom – Well that’s a perfect illustration of the paucity of your argument. It’s a bit pathetic when you have to resort to very selective and deceptive quoting to try and make a point that doesn’t exist

“and that you’d rather have another Tory government”[than vote for Labour]

The text within the [ ] is the bit you chose to leave out because it didn’t fit your narrative.

      6. @SteveH

Can’t be bothered to hunt, but there are many examples here on the ‘box that you have posted mentioning Stomas background. About his upbringing.

You’ll note that “Using your own descriptions of Stoma, he is at the very least a class traitor.” is not “You said he was a class traitor” Nice try though…

As for the rest…This paragraph sums up our general opinion of you. We’re tired and bored of your shit.

Your sad little attempt at spinning my words show you for what you are.

        Have a better day foxy

      7. NVLA – What a load of tripe

        Never voting labour again
        27/05/2020 at 8:59 am
        Can’t be bothered to hunt,
A pathetic excuse often employed who have no evidence to support their assertions.

As for the rest…This paragraph sums up our general opinion of you. We’re tired and bored of your shit.
It’s entirely your choice, you could always choose to ignore me.

Your sad little attempt at spinning my words show you for what you are.
On the contrary I have simply pointed out that you selectively edited your quote of me with the intent to deceive. It is not my fault you can’t make an argument without underhand tactics.

I have yet to see you provide any examples of me saying that Keir is a class traitor.

Citing Malcolm X in a desperate attempt to give yourself some credibility is a bit sad. You should let your arguments and reasoning speak for you. Please stop wasting my time with this nonsense.

      8. There’s nothing “sad” about citing Malcolm X. He had some very perceptive things to say about the power of the media a the hypocrisy of white liberals among other things which were way ahead of their time and have been particularly instructive in recent years. (My favourite is “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything”).

  6. Maybe we should follow the example of the People’s Vote Campaign and start putting posters on our windows asking Starmer to sack Cummings and of course commenting on Social Media demanding: “STARMER SACK CUMMINGS NOW”
It isn’t going to work, but the obvious never stopped the People’s Vote campaigners to demand a second Ref from Corbyn. Where are the People’s Vote campaigners now? Start demanding from Starmer to have a People’s Vote on whatever to sack Cummings.

  7. Poor Piffle must be shitting his pants. If he has to get rid of Cummings it will be, as the Morning Star quite eloquently put it like “Emu sacking Rod Hull”

    1. Won’t b sacked. Will “resign” to back back ground but control the strings from there. johnson PM ship collapses without him. Like Trump, the johnsons – ALL of them r not committed Tories. Blojon in particular has v few Tory party friends. His firm appeal is with Tory grassroots. The party grudgingly “tolerates” him as he accepted OUR historic election which could have wiped out the Tories for along time. He gave it to them. The Party is just an opportunistic host for him. They r a GE winning machine. Ruthlessly so. Were it not for that and Cums they would have both been kicked out.

Coke head Gove is desperate to be PM. Dope head Cameron won’t mind another go. Williamson, Hancock, Hunt, Rudd all feel they could be PM.

Back to the johnsons. NB there are some who r STILL abbused the idea that Brexit is a universal Tory thing. NO! May wept when she was kicked out with usual Tory GE winning instinct. THERESA MAY WEPT when the electorate voted leave. I kid u not‼️

Forgive just noticed i digressed AGAIN. U c people, u cannot unpack complex issues in a few lines. Those who try to make u feel it is possible are LIARS. Check their own many posts. Those who believe them, are not fools. There are actually only few fools in the world. Prince Andrew and His vulgar wife are obscenely foolish. But those who believe liars, that deep attitudes can be unpacked in bite size – they are just taking partial leave from their senses. A long partial leave.

But back AGAIN to blojon’s clan: His brother left the cabinet and his sister left to join the Remainiac LOSERS – Limp Dims. Of course they r proud of their jonnie’s becoming PM. Despite being intensely competitive with each other, they r proud by they r no mad Tories. Daddy, brother and reli’s r allegedly pursuing and exploiting business interests with Chinese contacts. Even then, that distinct Tory money trait, … esp re philandering father of the philandering son, is just for fun. Fun fun fun.

Blojon’s latest victim – she betrayed the mythical sisterhood… they all betrayed each other… but my soft heart … ah well –
But I believe in part the victim’s words:

johnson “does not care about anything! ” “NOT MONEY! Not anything!” approx. Think she said no one also. I can’t remember. But, i doubt Blojon even cares for himself. Hence the inexplicable reckless lies. No empathy for people and daring himself, not to climb rock but just lie feel the power, enjoy the risk, create chaos in the Tory party not necessarily in the country.

IDEA – Just like the creature WMD Bliar the warmonger. Certain forces choose people like johnson, Dire Starmer and the Tony Bliar creature. WHY – For over a decade, i’v thought that the forces choose that type to fund because they know they believe in nothing much. They could drop them in any party any church anywhere. They are VERY pliable. They have single cell motivations.

Thatcher, May, Brown, Miliband are accidents. Thatcher managed to survive because the monstrous mother of the Bliar creature – the spawner’s instincts coincided with theirs. They got away with that but strong willed inserts are not inserts of choice.

Dominic Cummings is another accident but i believe quite disruptive. That does not suit “forces”. Events are overtaking plans. Critical mass has great power if sustained. But throughout history. Critical mass even when at the disposal of well meaning, throughout history tends to be treated without care. There is scarce culture of sustaining change.

Maria Vazquez describes the result well. Despite being excluded for forty years then kicked for the last four, STILL the genuine belief was let’s “bring the party together”, let’s “bring people together”, lets “bring the COUNTRY together”. Others go further – lets “bring Europe together”. lets bring the world together.

NOTHING teaches some anything. With self imposed blindness and deafness – they try to knit a blanket for the whole world. Moses failed, Jesus failed, failed, Hindus, Moslems, Buddhists, Malians, Romans, Ottomans, Greeks, Aztecs, Incas, you name them – all phenomenal Empires and leaders who took phenomenal risks with a mission to unite the world, all failed.

Even those with poor sight, could see through this clear lockdown air in the best light of a lifetime, the Acropolis is crumbled ruins. Timbuktu – not so ruined but still no more an empire. The so called cradle of civilisation – modern day Iraq thrashed with the aid of WMD LIARS from thousands of kilometres away. NOTHING is fixed.

Yet, despite all hostilities, Castro prevailed to his death, making the best of a bad situation to look after his people FIRST. And for DECADES to date, with his focused DRIVE providing excellent health care and education for HIS country. The focus on Cuba led to them later exporting thousands of doctors, dentists and nurses all over the world. Castro focused on knitting a blanket for his country. Priorities, Sequence, Focus, Standing up to hostilities. To his death he sustained PRACTICAL successes.

They export health care staff and expertise ALL over the world. People go there to train. Even medical students studying here go there for practicals. Its not publicised by MSM of course, nor even alternative MSM.

And Castro famously did not SUSTAIN their struggle with bite sized tweets. Castro was ALWAYS visible, audible, dynamic and up front. He did not retreat in passive aggressive indulgence waiting to be proved right. He relished facing down the enemy. Like the imperfect George Galloway, with up front magnificent spirit, George who went into the lions den, The US Senate. Walter Wolfgang ar the Labour Party Conference. Walter SPOKE UP‼️‼️‼️

We need to learn to value the EFFECTIVE, not the perfect. No one is perfect. Not me not you. BE GOOD & EFFECTIVE🌹🌹🌹

ps still reading AH😂 McNiv😂 BerryLocket😂 dbg😂 Glad u r my most devoted readers. Excuse the typos. I’m not going to read it now. Must check on my neighbour. Bye🌹🌹🌹

      1. I wasn’t referring to you in the earlier post. I was replying to Steve H, when he was making excuses for Starmer.

      2. Thanks Maria. Relieved as this battle is harder than i thought. So i’m in heightened battle state, at expense of other very important things. Trying to fit in much b4 time becomes even more squeezed.
Would be GREAT help if we all address each post with the name. They don’t come in sequence so can lead to confusion of who is saying what. Ps i agree TOTALLY with your approach re all elections coming up and NEC. As in all critical enterprises, i believe in FULL smart NIMBLE incisive UNAPOLOGETIC non appeasement NEW METHODS.

The guardians of the Status Quo have and most likely will always have more funders than we have. We have numbers and means to communicate but need to dump the happy families dream. Starmer and Co are bad news. They are adults and will not be “reformed” save for a miracle. We are not miracle workers. The great miracle worker is busy knitting or doing something. Cherubim and Seraphim are in attendance doing heaven knows what.

In the meantime, without hesitation, without more reading, CRUSH all bastards at every chance. OR they will eliminate us. 🌹🌹🌹

  8. The seed is planted in the ‘Populations psyche’ , the circumvention of the governments first Covid mantra has been exposed, this needs to fester in those that voted for the Tories propaganda ‘Get BREXIT Done’ mantra. The bamboozled now start to realise the deception and the honesty and transparency of this government especially Johnson.
This is a side dish, the main coarse is the governments managing of this pandemic and subsequent deaths. The government might need to implement the standing order which allows martial law to be invoked to address public unrest.

  9. Q. Minister have you ever encountered Aliens from another Universe?
    A. On numerous occasions. They are very good gardeners actually. Some of my best friends are interstellar refugees.
There is no limit to their imaginations.

  10. By the way…

I thought you were meant to keep your hands away from your face?

Or has gove been ‘partaking’ again? (See main photo)

    1. I missed that, I hadn’t realised he’d made such a decisive contribution.

  11. There’s an interesting thing by Peter Juke on Double Down News on Cummings and his background

  12. Had Cummings had an accident during his “test drive”, then, presumably, that would have confirmed to him that he wasn’t fit to drive. The problem with that is that, in the unlikely event of him being honest with the police, his insurance would not have been valid.

  13. On 12th October 2013, Cummings stated in the Guardian ‘there is “strong resistance” in the education establishment to “accepting scientific evidence on genetics” and complains that despite research showing that up to 70% of a child’s performance is related to his or her genes, there has been little interest in the issue. He discloses that he became so frustrated that people were not taking the issue seriously that he invited one of the country’s leading geneticists, Robert Plomin, of the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London, to the Department for Education to discuss his views.’ I assume from this that he imagines that he and his upper-class cronies are genetically superior, mentally and physically, to the vast majority of the ‘working class’. Well, you wouldn’t think so from this stupid excuse for driving from Durham to Barnard Castle during the lock-down. If I suspected that there was a problem with my eyesight, I wouldn’t even start the car’s engine, never mind drive 60 miles to “test” it. What a load of tosh!!
