Video: Johnson skipping shaking black hands takes on new significance after failure to condemn race-IQ adviser

2019 conference footage shows Johnson bypassing black supporters as he shakes hands with conference fans

Last October, a SKWAWKBOX video went viral showing Boris Johnson moving along a line of supporters – and gliding past two black men as he shook hands.

That video takes on new significance today. Not only did Downing Street refuse to condemn comments by an adviser claiming that black people have lower average IQs – Number 10 also slapped down a Tory minister who dared to suggest that Andrew Sabisky’s views were not those of the government.

Which makes Johnson’s swerve last autumn all the more telling:

Number 10’s silence on the issue of Sabisky’s views – except to put a minister in his place for suggesting Johnson disagrees with them – is confirming a disgraceful truth.

Johnson – who has called black people “piccaninnies”, referred in scathing terms to African countries and is complicit in the ongoing Windrush scandal – doesn’t care what anyone thinks about his racism.

Or his plans he seems to be making based on it.

  1. Re-watching this a few times leaves no room for doubt.

As one interviewer put to him “Aren’t you a nasty piece of work?”

But, hey-ho – those fictional ‘Core Voters’ aren’t fussed. So what?

    1. Yeah.

I often wonder the reason so many people voted toerag that wouldn’t normally…

…I mean had they not been ignored by thundercunts like you who called them ”thick” and ”knuckle-draggers” , perhaps they mightn’t have got the urge to show you what your aloof, superior, snotty attitude would amount to.

Then de piffle would’ve been a racist in opposition; and wouldn’t have been allowed to employ these parasitical eugenicists who give off the charade they’re ‘earning’ in their taxpayer-funded, ‘grace & favour’ sinecure(s).

      1. Hey up, Toffee. Cummings got you back on the Tory troll payroll, with your pseudo ‘what about the workers’ schtik?

Trouble is, representing the ‘working class’ as uniform loud and sweary morons gives your game away. I’ve picked up shit on my shoe with less smell than your fake performance gleaned in ‘watering holes’.

Your Party line is straight out of the SunMail fake concern for the gullible Tory voter.

      2. Ooooo, dicky, hit a nerve, did I? Such foul and abusive language!

        Well, I never!

See, you’re no different to anyone else, you fucking snob. As soon as you’re sussed, out comes YOUR neanderthal.

And it appears to be a lot more vitriolic and definitely more off topic than mine, sonny. I’m the tory who opposed the most tory of the leadership candidates…. Yes, slimy starmmer – The one you vigourously defended (And STILL do) while claiming to have supprted Corbyn.

        You fucking fraud.

      3. They didn’t.

The evidence is out there (Ashcroft polling to begin with…)

The Tories stole the election with postal votes.

“_WE_ will not let you become prime minister”

        And they didn’t…

      4. So – we’re right about all the Brexit stuff being sheer bullshit – it was postal votes wot dun it?!

    2. If one carefully watches the longer version of the this (see the link below) from the end of Boris’s speech onwards to when he actually exits the hall one can see that Johnson shakes the hands and greets several BAME supporters.

When you get to the section highlighted above play in slow motion (¼ speed) and one can very easily see that the 2 gentlemen referred to make absolutely no effort to engage with Johnson personally or show any sign of interrupting their clapping. There is absolutely no indication whatsoever that they felt snubbed. They just seemed happy to be there.

I could have sworn that I made a similar response to the original story on this but it seems to have vanished.

        *AHEM*

Nothing to stop de piffle offering his hand…Nothing at all. As I said back then:

”Boris is just as obvious here and the excuses will be as risible”

I dunno, steve. Last week you was trying to put up a case for your remainer-turned-brexiteer toerag mate, javid.

This week, it’s de piffle himself. What gives?

      2. Toffee – I’m not saying that Johnson isn’t a racist, I’m just saying that this isn’t evidence of it. It has the same evidential value as the footage of Jeremy not bowing enough. There is more than enough real well documented evidence out there without devaluing the case by resorting to ‘questionable’ evidence.

      3. OK – but the reverse is also true : Johnson doesn’t make any attempt to engage. It does look strange.

      4. RH – It does look strange

Maybe it does when taken out of context but in the context of the complete footage following his speech it fits in OK. You may note that he ignores the outstretched hands of several people and there doesn’t seem to be any discrimination about the colour of those hands. In fact immediately before he actually exits the hall he enthusiastically shakes the hands of 2 people with a similar skin tone to the two above.

I’m not saying that Johnson isn’t a racist, I’m just saying that this isn’t evidence of it. It has the same evidential value as the footage of Jeremy not bowing enough.

      5. Hmmm. You could be right. Now Bojo the clown is a bombastic bullshitting idiot but I’ve never thought of him as a racist. I think Skwawk maybe clutching at straws on this one.

      6. Plain citizen, remember “bank robbers” and “letterboxes” and “flag waving piccaninnies” and “watermelon smiles” and “Road to Mandalay” and “seeing a bunch of black kids makes alarm bells go off in my head” and “an almost Nigerian interest in money.”

He’s a sexist, homophobic, Tory racist and he shouldn’t be allowed within a mile of parliament.

    3. It’s been revealed by Nils Melzer, the UN Special Rapporteur on Torture, that the CPS under the then control of Kier Starmer pressurised Sweden not to drop charges against Julian Assange. At that stage it was obvious that Assage was innocent of the charges but Starmer wanted him back on behalf of the USA.

This is how interested Starmer is in justice and a good indication that once members are accused of anti-Semitism they will continue to be fast tracked to suspension without any due process.

  2. I have just seen this by Andrew Adonis and I am incensed:

Cummings & Corbyn are the twin evils of modern British politics. The sooner they are both history the better

Let’s get back to sensible social democracy

    1. Tony, just remember who said that.

A hypocritcal fucking nobody; a ‘never was, nor will be’ , rather than any sort of ‘has-been’.

Another unelected big-nosed twunt who thinks they’ve been hard done by, by both objects of it’s vitriol.

  3. As an immigrant originally from Bristol, I have lived in Liverpool since 1976 (doing missionary work) . I was often called ‘a Cockney’ (now that hurt), but Jack Straw once referred to me as that troublesome Scouser from Bristol. That I like.

  4. Breaking into this thread, I thought a posting on JVL was worth flagging up :

“Today one of my facebook friend’s disciplinary *items* was that she posted a quote [she thought] from the Chakrabari Report. On checking, I found it was from the Home Affairs Ctte Report. How the hell can that be a disciplinary offence. We’ve truly passed through the mirror. The offending quote [p.46]:

“Despite significant press and public attention on the Labour Party, and a number of revelations regarding inappropriate social media content, there exists no reliable, empirical evidence to support the notion that there is a higher prevalence of antisemitic attitudes within the Labour Party than any other political party.”
    The mind boggles.”

The article to which it is attached is well worth reading, too :

  5. What can be more farcical than the establishment and the monarchy ordering the bells of Westminster Abbey being rung for a typical Royal insult to humanity Andrew on his birthday…..(down on your knees and bow peasentry). The Scum ruined my breakfast when I read that report from the state groveller The BBC..

      1. Never voting Labour again……good thinking on that pervert.Think I will lock up the cat and the dog. Best to be careful….And thanks for the laugh,it makes up for the spilt tea at breakfast after that warning on Prince Lurkio Windsor…!
