Boris Johnson triggered loud laughter from the leaders’ debate audience this evening when he said he thought truth matters and is ‘very important’:

At the same time, the Tories’ official press office Twitter account was pretending to be an independent fact-checking organisation.

Seems Johnson thinks the UK’s voters lack the intelligence to see through him.

Seems clear he’s wrong.
