Breaking: Byrne selected as Labour’s candidate for Liverpool West Derby

Congratulations to local left candidate Ian Byrne, who in the last few moments has been selected by Labour members in the Liverpool seat of West Derby to represent them in the general election.

Fans Supporting Foodbanks founder Byrne is a real grassroots, working-class candidate who will do Labour proud.

  3. Andy, according to Liverpool Echo website 26 minutes ago, Byrne wins by few votes after several recounts demanded by defeated candidate.
    So good news after all!
