Video: Greek dock workers refuse to load FIVE ships of military-grade steel bound for Israel

Protests and celebration last night as unionised workers say no to aiding genocide

In a huge victory for Palestinian freedom movement and its BDS (Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions) campaign, Greek dock workers have successfully blocked five containers of military-grade steel heading to genocidal Israel.

In response to a call from dock workers’ union ENEDEP that puts the management of UK dock workers’ union Unite to shame, hundreds of people gathered on Monday morning and last night in the port of Piraeus, Greece to prevent the containers from being shipped. The workers told Stand with Palestine Greece that the containers were successfully located and blocked from being transferred to Israel – and that any attempts to do so will result in escalated action from the workers.

Stand with Palestine Greece’s footage of the protest last night.

Israel continues to slaughter and starve the Palestinian people of Gaza. More action is needed to stop colluding governments from aiding it.

  1. Inspirational stuff. One up to the Greek dockers. May others follow your example! (I’m looking at you, Graham)

I wonder if Ken Loach has one more film in him? (Yes, I believe he said after the last one that he’s “done”, but how could he resist this?!)

    1. Would this be an example [checks notes] of “Ambient” Industrial Action?

Will Trump, the EU Fourth Reich, and the UK slap ‘sanctions from Hell’ on the Greek docking union?

Will Israel take this to the ICC?

How many ‘Labour’ Cabinet talking heads will be appearing on the broadcast and in the printed media, denouncing this as ‘terrorism’?

      Stay Tuned!

    2. Why pick on Sharon Graham and Unite.

Have you been similarly inspired by the actions of any of the UK’s Trade Unions.

      1. Have YOU been inspired by graham’s actions and attitude, both towards union members AND gaza?

      2. Come again Toffee?

You’re expecting consistency from that source?

      3. Dave and Toffee – I can’t think of any examples of a UK Trade Unions taking direct action against the Israeli state over their war crimes in Gaza, can you?
        🤔

      4. I don’t know of any other union boss banned members attending pro-gaza protests; or threatened an official with loss of pension if they don’t stop their objection to fhe genocide, or the screening of films showing the plight of Palestinians through the genocide they’re suffering, – do you?

I don’t know of any other union boss more or less stating that jobs are more important than (foreigners’) lives – do you?

But hey….all those that disagree must be putin supporters, right?

        RIGHT?

        Knobhead.

      5. The ONLY scenario in which you’d turn on graham would be if she ever grew the bollocks to actually commit to her empty threat to withdraw funding to the smarmerist cabal.

And everyone knows that ain’t ever gonna happen.

But if it did, it’d just be yet another example of your duplicitous shithousery.

And then you’d definitely accuse everyone pointing it out to you of fabrication; denying you ever once put up a case for the rodent.

      6. Billy, UK Law on Secondary Action, which deals with interference and inducement in the performance of a contract which involves employment in any form, has only been unlawful since 1992:

        https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1992/52/section/224

Do at least make some token effort to catch up with the 20th century.

In fact, in the present climate if I were you I’d be contacting the proprietor of Skwawkbox to beg him to remove your post of 10:10 pm, 17/07/2025 lest some overzealous reader reports you to the police under the above act for attempting to induce others to breach sub-paragraph 2 (a) of Section 224 of that 1992 Parliamentary Act.

One cannot be too careful these days.

  2. Well done to those Greek dock workers. I wish we’d see more action like that in the UK, but not just aimed at the Zio entity but Starmer and LINO party too.

  3. Sharon Graham prefers to share the islamophobic CAA instead. Solidarity to these workers. I can’t be more proud.

      1. Toffee – Thanks for your contribution, it reveals a lot about you. 🤔

      2. Does it i deed?

Tell everyone I have a very overt aversion towards black female socialists…or even white male socialists, does it?

Or tell everyone i defend and make excuses for nonces, does it?

        Nope. 👍😉

      3. Nope. No mistake, no confusion. Not from this quarter, at least.

Have a read of this thread…Concerning Abbott.

        …Especially YOUR posts. .

Desperately defending smarmerite inaction on nonces. Undeniable.

Telling everyone corbyn would be gone…or so you hoped. Undeniable.

And to cap it off, accusing people on this forum of abandoning Corbyn in 2019 to vote for de piffle.

Yet ANOTHER accusation youve NEVER backed up with cold, hard evidence.

        Now, you were saying…?🤨

      4. Wishful thinking, eh, wee nonce defender?

Regardless of Diane Abbott’s intentions it was an incredibly stupid thing to tweet.
Perhaps it’s time that, at near enough 70, she accepted that she is not quite as bright as she once was and retire at the next election before she inadvertently sullies her admirable legacy.

        More? OK.

      5. Same thread as above…

        I asked YOU

        Not wikipedia.

So it looks like I’ll be having to ask again, so I’ll rephrase my original question slightly.

What do YOU find admirable about Abbot’s legacy.

        Explain in your own words.

        SteveH10/08/2023 at 5:12 pm
Toffee – I have got better things to do than play your silly childish games, haven’t you

Not looking very good, is it, wee racist, anti-social, nonce enabler?

Gonna tell us WHO on here voted toerag in 2019, seeing as you reckon they did.

Or you gonna accuse me of making THAT up too?

This IS fun, isn’t it? (See what I did there?)

      6. So I’ll ask you AGAIN.

What do YOU find admirable about Abbott’s legacy, wee noncecase?

  4. If this was Liverpool, Hull, Felixstowe or Tilbury, keef’d have the army sent in, toot sweet.

And you wouldn’t hear a peep from graham

  5. I’m staggered that our airport workers continue to aid all manner of stuff going through our airports.
