Labour First backing Mahmood despite Starmer’s cover-up of whistleblower’s abuse allegations

Locals believe right-wing group has promised support for ousted Birmingham MP at centre of abuse cover-up to receive peerage

Former Birmingham Perry Barr MP Khalid Mahmood, ousted at the general election last July by independent Ayoub Khan, is back at the heart of the Starmer-supporting right-wing pressure group ‘Labour First’.

Mahmood has been puzzling locals by attending Labour party training sessions for would-be West Midlands council candidates, but Skwawkbox understands that his presence there has more to do with monitoring and influencing selections than potentially standing as a candidate himself and local sources believe he has been promised, by Labour First-associated figures, the peerage that has been handed to right-wing West Midlands colleagues like Tom Watson and John Spellar.

The disastrous start made in government by Keir Starmer and his hangers-on has not dampened the right’s enthusiasm for control or the readiness of the regime to protect and rehabilitate figures associated with abuse scandals, and Mahmood has been photographed with an array of figures from the right-wing pressure group, as well as with the grinning Starmer.

Akehurst ‘banned Jewish candidate’ for blowing whistle.
Mahmood at a Labour First ‘do’. Top right is Bill Gavan, Tom Watson’s former driver and ‘fixer’, who was recorded boasting of obtaining tens of thousands of pounds to save the parliamentary candidacy of right-wing Labour MP Naz Shah.

Mahmood was at the centre of a scandal, broken exclusively by Skwawkbox, in which then ‘opposition’ leader Starmer and then-party general secretary David Evans repeatedly ignored whistleblower Elaina Cohen’s warnings that Mahmood’s staffer and alleged lover was abusing vulnerable Muslim women who were escaping domestic abuse. No action was ever taken by the pair against Mahmood, who remained on Starmer’s front bench until he stepped down considerably later – not even the usual ‘administrative suspension’ to allow for the allegations to be investigated, far from the only example of Starmer and Evans taking no action to protect women from alleged abuse and sexual abuse.

Labour protected paedophile Thomas Dewey, a Labour First organiser, despite knowing that he had been arrested for possession of the most sadistic category of child-rape images, allowing him to still stand as a candidate in Hackney, shutting women out of its systems to prevent discussion of his arrest and subsequent conviction and threatening members with disciplinary sanctions if they insisted on raising questions about it.

The party has also circled the wagons and remained silent over the arrest of pro-Israel right-winger Ivor Caplin, a close associate of several right-wing Labour MPs and himself a former Labour minister, after his arrest when he was caught on camera arriving for a meeting with an under-age boy. Despite Caplin’s prominence, the UK ‘mainstream’ media have still not named him and he does not appear to have been charged by the Crown Prosecution Service, which Starmer used to run – while a Brighton left-winger who exposed some of the pornography that Caplin was frequently sharing on his social media has been charged for highlighting examples of Caplin’s posts.

After her tribunal win, Elaina Cohen resigned from Labour over Starmer’s ‘protection of abusers and rapists’.

Mahmood unfairly dismissed Cohen after she blew the whistle, but confirmed under oath that Starmer was fully aware of the allegations. ‘Victim A’ of the women gave sworn evidence alleging ‘criminal’ and ‘sadistic’ abuse, including sexual exploitation, at Cohen’s successful employment tribunal – neither Mahmood nor his lawyers contested her testimony.

Khalid Mahmood was contacted on Monday about his attendance at the candidate training meetings and has been contacted again about the alleged anti-plot mission, but had not responded by the time of writing.

  1. Labour is now a party entirely without principles. Just like its leader.

    1. Unfortunately the section above that refers to Dewey is inaccurate.

The time-line (of who knew what and when) given below and freely available from multiple news sources published at the time clearly illustrates that any claims that the Labour Party knowingly allowed Dewey to stand in the borough’s council elections despite his arrest are simply untrue.

Thomas Dewey (TD) was arrested on 29/04/2022 just 6 days before the election on 6/05/2022 and 24 days after the latest date that candidates could be changed in that election.
The National Crime Agency who carried out the raid and arrest did not inform Hackney Council about TD’s arrest until 13/05/22 a week after the election and Hackney Council’s Chief Executive did not inform the Mayor Philip Glanville (PG) until a day later on 14/05/22.
The Chief Executive of the Council officially informed the Labour Party on 16/05/22 10 days after the election took place.

It has been reported that when TD was confronted on 16/05/22 he immediately resigned both his seat and his already suspended membership of the Labour Party.

Given that to date there doesn’t appear to be any evidence that the Labour Party knew anything about TD being arrested and bailed until at least a week after the election had taken place then any assertions that Labour allowing TD to stand in the election knowing that he was on bail for the possession of child porn appears to be nothing more than ill-informed hyperbole driven by factional prejudices rather than the known facts.
Maybe an enquiry will reveal further details but until someone comes up with some credible evidence that presents a radically different time-line on who knew what and when then it looks like the Labour Party were never in a position to prevent anything to do with this and given their knowledge at the time acted appropriately throughout.

      1. Again with the defending of pederast protectors.

Smarmerite labour allowed the convicted paedophiles dewey to resign.

They didn’t dismiss or disown the animal.

And then they shut down any mention of him within hackney clp.

And you say they acted appropriately throughout

You’re a paedophile enabler AND apologist, and there’s NO mistake about it.

      2. Toffee – Bearing in mind that it was more than a year after the election before the police got around to charging Dewey it would fascinating to hear how you would have dealt with the situation.

  2. Smarmerite labour…To paraphrase Obi Wan Kenobi:

“A wretched hive of scum and villany”

  3. The only thing traditionally red about Akehurst would seem to be his diet. Judging from his appearance he must consume nothing but beetroot?

    1. Nah, fakehurst’s diet consists solely of copious amounts of starmer’s shite.

Never was there a more obvious example of being bullied at school, the fat, bespectacled, ginger tosser.

Be in NO doubt fhat he’d have been plod if he didnt have that stick.

      1. Hes just a d1ckhead and as per normal this happens when the d1ck gets over excited at killing children.

      2. Yes, Jillazouz.

Today’s BIG news – according to the BBC, the Guardian and Netanyahu is that the release of the Israeli prisoners, was a bit chaotic, because they appeared fit, well, and happy in the midst of a crowd of Palestinians, who did them no harm at all. That’s BIG news. The IDF bombing a five-year-old girl on a horse and cart, received the sum total of ZERO coverage, has not been condemned by our “world leading” human rights lawyer (you know that bloke who claims to have personally prosecuted every bad person between 2008 and 2013, but the controversial ones during that same period “never crossed my desk” – aye, right).

Then we have the holocaust memorial with its mantra “never again” when the fact is all politicians can see and know what the ICC have described what is happening as genocide, they can see it in real time, in their living rooms every night, but hey, let’s look the other way.

      3. @ winteringham. “Never Again”. Indeed! “…unless it gives US more lebens-raum, racial purity or might”. Holocaust-ees-turned- Haulocaust-ERS.

GREAT post. It makes me ashamed even to be an “un-observant” Jew. The world saw how healthy the released Israeli-hostages were – and contrasted it with enfeebled, starved Palestinians.

Albert Einstein (one of the greatest socialists ever) was right when he refused to serve as Israel’s President! Zionism is a racist, fascist monstrosity that inverts the Peace and Justice imposed by any ‘Creator’.

      4. “but hey, let’s look the other way”

To which might be added, “while we are still capable of doing so.”

Cue a chorus of “WTF does that mean?”

Short answer, Corporate media ain’t the only front messing with the cognitive abilities of whole populations here.

        Cue:

        https://darkfutura.substack.com/p/ai-slop-n-mush-ramps-up

“”The Kissinger/Eric Schmidt book on AI basically states that the real promise of AI, from their perspective, is as a tool of perception manipulation – that eventually people will not be able to interpret or perceive reality without the help of an AI via cognitive diminishment and learned helplessness. For that to happen, online reality must become so insane that real people can no longer distinguish real from fake in the virtual realm so that they can then become dependent on certain algorithms to tell them what is “real”. Please, please realize that we are in a war against the elites over human perception and that social media is a major battleground in that war. Hold onto your critical thinking and scepticism and never surrender it.”

And this part bears repeating: “For that to happen, online reality must become so insane that real people can no longer distinguish real from fake in the virtual realm so that they can then become dependent on certain algorithms to tell them what is “real”………

……scatter[ing] reality into a ‘post-truth’ matrix where our new AI godfathers will author our new “truths” on behalf of their programmers.

“To summarize, globalists want the proliferation of AI because they know that people are lazy and will use the system as a stand-in for individual research. If this happens on a large scale then AI could be used to rewrite every aspect of history, corrupt the very roots of science and mathematics and turn the population into a drooling hive mind; a buzzing froth of braindead drones consuming every proclamation of the algorithm as if it is sacrosanct.

In this way, Yuval Harari is right. AI does not need to become sentient or wield an army of killer robots to do great harm to humanity. All it has to do is be convenient enough that we no longer care to think for ourselves. Like the “Great and Powerful” OZ hiding behind a digital curtain, you assume you’re gaining knowledge from a wizard when you’re really being manipulated by globalist snake oil salesmen.””

Though, given much of the outpourings of post-truth propaganda from some BTL comment (no names, no pack drill) we are already on this slippery slope.

  4. Quite Dave. I believe in Comment being free, but facts being sacred, as someone once said. Indeed a certain “left-wing” paper was most persistent in blaming the summer riots on misleading social media, and self-righteous indignation that immigration had anything to do with it. Keep that in mind, and then I read an article in that self same newspaper this week, explaining that the rise in the UK population was down to immigration. Hmmmm … And that because of that the UK population had overtaken that of France for the first time on record… Well unless of course you take the records from 1945-1949, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1954, 1955, 1956, 1957, 1958, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1967, 1968, 1969, 1970, 1971, 1972, 1973, 1974, 1975, 1976, 1977, 1978, 1979, 1980, 1981, 1982, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1986, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993, 1994, …. 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024.

So maybe not entirely correct. Or not even slightly correct.

Unfortunately, below the line, all the posters who commented on it, took the statement as factual (Pretty much as the summer rioters did on that dreadful social media). I did point this schoolboy error out to them via the official channels as did at least one other through the social media they use (Bluesky). As yet, they have preferred to NOT admit their error. I’d call it hypocrisy. But maybe I’m just being pedantic, and believe that Comment is sacred but facts are free?

    1. Bad as it is, at least the Daily Heil has the advantage over the Guardian of actually doing what it says on the tin.

One of the wider problems with fakes like the Guardian self-defining itself as “progressive” and “left wing” is that too many take it at face value and end up believing and arguing that all sorts of nonsense that is the anti-thesis of collective and class politics is “Marxist” and “left-wing” (including those who inaccurately self-define themselves as such) when it has more in common with the ravings of Ayan Rand and Margaret Thatcher’s ‘no such thing as society, only the individual and the family’.
