The racism and murderousness of recent Tory regimes – over 300,000 needless deaths linked to austerity and many more from Johnson’s recklessness and deliberate infection of pensioners during the pandemic – ought to have marked a low point in UK politics from which the only way is up.
But Starmer’s eagerness to keep starving 1.5m children and killing 4,000 pensioners each winter through the Winter Fuel Allowance cut while accepting hundreds of thousands in freebies, alongside his craven support for genocidal Israel and his complete lack of any alternative to more cuts and austerity have managed to dig an even deeper hole into which millions clearly wish he would crawl.
