Israel has begun bombing Gaza, and Tyre in southern Lebanon, according to emerging reports. No further details of the attack are yet available, but recent protests against the right-wing extremist Israeli government’s attack on the country’s legal system may well have led Netanyahu and co to seek a distraction from their woes and lawlessness at home.
Netanyahu has issued a statement saying he will “exact a significant price from our enemies” but has given no reasons. Israel’s contempt for international law is on show again.
Update: Israel is attempting to blame its attacks on Palestinian rocket attacks.
