After Forde’s conclusion that antisemitism was weaponised against Corbyn, I expect a leadership challenge from the PLP.
I know they aren’t enough members on the SCG but if 7 back benchers join the SCG in the rebellion it could be done. Come on Unite, CWU, GMB lean on the MPs that are sponsor by the Trade Unions and support for one of them to challenge Starmer for the leadership.
Who ever wins the Tory leadership, we know they are going to attack the Trade Unions by passing legislation that would severely affect in the negative the right to strike. For what it’s worth my guess is that Starmer will oppose any new restrictions on the liberty or strike but with little vigour. If in government, there will be a marked reluctance to repeal the legislation and the Conservative-New Labour legislation enacted from 1980 to 2016. The neoliberal ratchet keeps moving forward.
