Labour appoints right-winger who quit to join Tinge as ‘Liverpool officer’

Starmer’s war on Liverpool continues

Keir Starmer has declared war on the people and party members of Liverpool.

After having an aide brief the media that he intended to ‘break legs’ in the city, Starmer went on to interfere in the candidate selection process for the Liverpool mayoral election, write for the rag known on Merseyside as the Scum and then barred all left-wingers from shortlists for three by-elections in the country’s most left-wing city – embarking on a programme seemingly calculated to turn Liverpool into the kind of Labour wasteland the party’s right made of Scotland before and during the Scottish independence referendum.

And now, he and his cronies have appointed a woman to be the party’s ‘Liverpool officer’ – who quit Labour to join the short-lived and ridiculous Change UK, which became known as the ‘Funny Tinge party’ after racist comments by one of its founding defectors from Labour.

A bulletin has gone out to ‘all stakeholders’ in the city to inform them that Sheila Murphy, a former regional party enforcer who jumped ship for Tinge, is now the ‘NEC appointed’ officer for the city:

Dear Liverpool Stakeholders,

I am writing to inform you that former Labour North West Regional Director Sheila Murphy has been appointed as Liverpool Officer (NEC Appointed). The role will involve carrying through the proposals made by the NEC panel in response to the Caller Report.

Sheila has a wealth of experience working for the Labour Party in roles within Liverpool, the North West and nationally spanning many years. She is hugely knowledgeable and well respected and her strong background makes her perfectly positioned to take on this important role.

Sheila implemented the recommendations from an inquiry into the Liverpool Labour Party in the early 2000s. Sheila managed the office of the former Liverpool Wavertree MP Luciana Berger and ran Steve Rotheram’s campaign to become the Metro Mayor in 2017.

Some of Sheila’s key achievements are:

Regional Officer – 1999-2000

North West Deputy Regional Director 2000 – 2003. During this period Sheila was responsible for implementing the recommendations of the NEC recommendations following an NEC inquiry…

Office Manager for Luciana Berger MP – 2010 – 2013

Labour’s Scottish Referendum Campaign Director – 2014…

Sheila has overseen numerous Parliamentary By-elections across the country.

The Caller report raised serious issues and Labour is fully committed to doing whatever is necessary to regain trust and confidence in our Party. Sheila will be in touch with many of you in the coming days and weeks. I hope that you will work closely with Sheila to assist in the implementation of the Liverpool Panel Recommendations.

Best wishes,

Liam Didsbury
Regional Director

Murphy defected to Tinge in May 2019, making a smear attack on Labour’s new members inspired by the party’s vision of real change under Jeremy Corbyn.

Now, having helped turn Scotland into a Labour desert, she is back with Labour in Liverpool. What could possibly go wrong?

Starmer’s war on Labour is a scorched-earth one.

  1. Yeah, go on then keep going. That hole, just, gets deeper and deeper.

Standing on donors money, won’t get you out of it.

      1. Guardian Saturday, Labour has lost 150,000 members since Starmer elected.
Their spending is £2m annually now on legal bills as spending on campaigning came 4th!
And because Labour lost so many seats it has lost £1.2m of Parliamentary funding.
And has lost some trade union funding.
Politically bankrupt and economically not far behind.

      2. Guardian Saturday. Labour has lost 150,000 members since Starmer elected.
Are spending £2m annually on legal costs and funding for campaigning came 4th!
And because they lost so many seats Parliamentary funding is down £1.2m and some trade unions have reduced their funding too.
Right Wing Labour politically bankrupt and economically not far behind.

      3. Directors….erm all very corporate just like any good business they must make a profit to survive. All of us are facing an unknown uphill battle for survival in a Britain becoming increasingly unrecognizable. With the Battle coming none of us can throw money away on a lost cause the Labour party.Stop feeding these corperate parasites infesting the country. They might want a cosy right wing Labour party, but they are standing on a overcrowded stage with a Tory party far more experienced in survival and winning the capitalist game.Kick em off the stage and let the Labour party go!…we can then build a traditional Labour party from the ground upwards.

      4. Joseph – “All of us are facing an unknown uphill battle for survival in a Britain becoming increasingly unrecognizable.”

You’re not, you live in Cambodia.

      5. Steve H hall and I am tied to Britain by that increasingly rare commodity money.and a decent family….I need Britain to succeed and survive and your way will only encourage failure.and poverty with the real Britain the people facing a unknown future.ITs called “Society” Stevie 👦boy something you parasites leaching off the country couldn’t understand.

    1. Who Cares? Don’t get mad just keep your money, don’t help and especially don’t flipping vote for anything not allied to your beliefs!

As in until I see a socialist ONLY Labour movement I will abstain from giving these scumbags money, help or my vote! So let them feel our anger by using it against them sensibly. Especially don’t give them what they want! Don’t stay and fight they want that!!!!

That’s the same trap they have used for 20 years so be smart…

    2. George…would this be another case of “Murphy’s law” or just the everyday mismanagement of a Labour party in freefall…I feel dizzy 😵

  2. If you didn’t know anything else about Sheila Murphy, the fact that she ran Luciana Berger’s office is enough to warn you against her.

Liam Didsbury is the right winger who tore down a ‘Reinstate Chris Williamson’ banner when Jeremy was still Leader attending a rally in Liverpool.

  3. Murphy should have been expelled for supporting an opposition Party. This action, among others, is disgraceful by Starmer.

    1. Did Murphy leave to join a competing political party or did she just offer ‘support? Either way, these are grounds for a formal complaint, under Labour Party rules, to be made against her. This is likely to be ignored or rejected but that in itslelf would be an ‘Interesting’ outcome.

      1. I’m sure that the NEC were aware of all the facts when they appointed Sheila Murphy to this post.

      2. I..am sure you are right mr Steve H Hall and what a treat it is for us too watch you try to compete in a corporate world on a crowded market in somthing you misfits know nothing about Business and survival of the fittest. You have no experience in the jungle and a bunch of failed lawyers and government drones don’t make your survival on a crowded stage very likely.Sooner the better for a new traditional Labour party from the People..enjoy your permanent retirement looser.

      3. Joseph – Are you on something?

As for enjoying my retirement, of course I’m going to enjoy it, I have the luxury of choice.

      4. “I have the luxury of choice.”

An admission which succinctly summarises the I’m alright Jack attitude of its author. Content to actively deny meaningful political choice to everyone else. The epitomy of grabbing selfish individualism which prefers their own wants over and above everyone and anyone else’s needs.

The sort of attitude you would not want to be anywhere near in any emergency.

      5. Dave – Not an admission, just a simple statement of fact. It would be disingenuous of me to pretend to be poor when I’m not. Are you one of those that likes to wallow in the politics of envy.

    2. Steve H Hall centrist Dad “Are you on somthing” …yes its called democratic socialism a sense of morality somthing your lot abandoned with your knight of the realm.

      1. Joseph – Lots of fine (but empty) words.
How’s the quest for democratic socialism going in the ‘elected’ dictatorship where you have chosen to live.

  4. ‘After having an aide brief the media that he intended to ‘break legs’ in the city,’
I am not from Liverpool, but I think Liverpool may well ‘break the legs’ of Starmerism, one way or another.

    1. I look forward to September, 2022. Labour Party Conference, ACC Liverpool. I will be there every day just to remind Sir Keir that he is unfit to be leader of the Labour Party & thanks for the insults!

  5. MPs have taken over the news tonight with media assisted attacks on social media and anonymity. David Ames’s hardly used social media and the man who killed him used his own name.

    1. Lundiel. ..They never miss a chance the ” the chosen ones “in parliament and see another chance to take away your freedoms bit by bit chipping away at the people civil rights …THE US and them is now firmly established in the House of Horrors…

      1. Looking at the date tofffee(597)it looks like the right wing have always been in control.I wonder what Chris Williamson thinks after his recent visit to Liverpool to “speak” against the arms trade along with friends and comrades of the left.?…Whatever happened to that young councillor did he become increasingly disillusioned with the Labour party ?

  6. This connects to the other main story about Livingstone and Bromley. It is all of a piece. The left has to be destroyed. Labour must be made safe for billionaires. The Livingstone /Bromley case is very important. The EHRC report is deeply flawed. It establishes beyond doubt that the main claim against Labour, that it is “institutionally anti-semitic” is without foundation. It falls into the racism it tries to spike by implying that ALL Jews, just because they are Jews, would respond to Livingstone’s and Bromley’s comments in the same way. Should L & B win, it will be explosive. The Israeli lobby and the right will be apoplectic. It is a vital matter in the fight against Starmer’s bid to turn Labour into a sycophantic party of capitalist conformism. As for the comment about breaking legs, it is beneath contempt.

    1. Speaking of vital matters, I’m hoping this will bring nearer both Jeremy Corbyn’s day in court over restoration of the whip and the Forde report getting plenty of exposure when used as evidence.

    2. Who are these people who are the EHRC? The more I research, the more I can’t believe they would have any credibility. They are usually barristers from law firms in London who are or have been representing the interests of Zionist Organisations or complainants about anti-Semitism, not exactly an independent organisation with their carefully ‘selected’ legal experts. The most interesting question would be who appointed whom? Perhaps Sir Keir would know?

      1. The EHRC’x Commissioners are appointed by the government.

  7. Everyone is exausted by this utter cesspit called the labour party and the constantly being ignored numbers calling for something new.

  8. I wonder how many now accept the fact that the strategy of the right is to eliminate the left at the elected representative level throughout the party.
The problem with that, of course, is that they assume left members will work to get them elected. My Labour-controlled authority, has been happy to do the Tories’ bidding without a squeak. They will never put their heads above the parapet to explain how the government turns the screw on them, and there are many voters who blame “the council” for failures owned by Whitehall. It is a similar situation, on the ground, to that found in Hartlepool in the run up to the recent bye-election.
In the current situation, Labour’s only hope would be to build support up from the bottom.
The reinvigoration of top-down internal politics is a death knell for progressive politics. The right will reap the whirlwind they are ignorantly busy sowing.

  9. Just watching Ch4 about NHS. They are short of 50,000 nurses, the same number short as when Blair got in. He did train 50,000 nurses but many left later.I believe New Labour will try and play the same card to get elected again.

    1. Oh they’ll try to… But they’ll keep the fees for training in place; just as they’ll keep flogging it off under the guise of pfi.

  10. Starmer is out to destroy Labour not just the Labour Left. He is a cuckoo in the nest and has just proved it.

      1. Yes Timfrom I have no problem with that description either- it probably more apt actually

  11. In view of recent events should people be talking about “Breaking legs” calling people “Scum” and threatening to “Stab Corbyn in the front” or even screaming “Fuck Off” in the face of Jeremy Corbyn and Dianne Abbott?
The tragedy is this now in Liverpool comes as no surprise.
If I lived in Liverpool I would vote for Liverpool Independent Socialists.
Right Wing Labour are taking the P.
But they who laugh last laugh loudest.

  12. In view of current events should people be talking about “Breaking legs” calling people “Scum” saying they would “Stab Corbyn in the front” and screaming in the face of Corbyn (and Diane Abbott) telling them to “Fuck Off!” (?)

  13. So Keef Stalin intends to ‘break legs’ in Liverpool. Hopefully this is a figurative, and not a literal comment, although with him you can never be entirely sure.

It really creeps me out to think how much he is getting like his Georgian namesake with every passing day.

  14. Here’s some extracts from email that the Labour Party sent out to Liverpool members.

“Former Labour North West Regional Director Sheila Murphy has been appointed as Liverpool Officer (NEC Appointed). The role will involve carrying through the proposals made by the NEC panel in response to the Caller Report.
“Sheila has a wealth of experience working for the Labour Party in roles within Liverpool, the North West and nationally spanning many years. She is hugely knowledgeable and well respected and her strong background makes her perfectly positioned to take on this important role.”

The Labour review of the Liverpool party has already seen the national party take control of candidate selections in the city.
The panel report, which was ratified by Labour’s National Executive Committee in the summer, found evidence of “poor performance”, “bullying, factionalism, misogyny and dysfunction”, “lack of organisation” and “unhealthy petty rivalries” within Liverpool Labour.

  15. I talk to a lot of Sheilas”were I am in Cambodia. Many were trapped here when flights back to Australia were cancelled.and flying became almost impossible and help from the embassies became almost non existent with only the French embassy standing out as a bastion of care for their nationals. Many have integrated now and especially the Aussies with one “Sheila” telling me the Australian government are building concentration camps for those outside of society the unvaccinated.ITs beginning to look like big brother and big pharma run the world…..But what happens to little lost Sheila “?

    1. too true Jospeh. Australia is fullfilling a very extreme role in the US-centred global coronavirus coup/scam/whatever it is.

I don’t like to use fascist puns too often, but…

We went from ’10 days to flatten the curve’ to “Show me Your Papers”.

      I DID NAZI THAT COMING….

    1. Lundiel hes crying 😢 after looking at the number of members passing away in the hundreds of thousands and hes just received the books for the Labour party business projections.and the Banks not happy….Maybe he can spin that one whilst he and the other private schools baboon Bozzo figure out how to blame the public for the hatred of the House of Horrors and all those entitled who have their titled and entitled snouts in the trough.Absolutely sickening hypocrisy…what about the starving kids, the haggard working-class,the elderly that will slowly freeze or starve this winter. What about ordinary people dehuminised by the paltry welfare system…ITS A MESS. A BLOODY MESS and just how many are the parasites and pigs responsible for murdering?

  16. MAB’s provacation theory goes from strength to strength,I’m sticking to my 2 possible theories

Drive the left out of Labour
Liverpools militancy doesn’t sit well with the Middle England demographic so beloved of Tony and his Cronies

    I’ll add a possible third
3.Ensure the party is ALWAYS reliant on wealthy donors such as Lord Sainsbury and Sir Trevor Chinn, the fact Jez made the party pretty wealthy scared the bejesus out of the estabishment, a party completely funded by the general public will not serve the interests of the wealthy, this is a theory Peter Oborne sujested IIRC

  17. With murphy conniving to oust Jake Morrison from his position as Wavertree councillor (With the assistance of ‘the victim’ berger), I wonder if murphy’s been given a brief/remit to conspire to find spurious grounds to deselect (or cajole/coerce) a sitting left-wing MP in order to parachute in known liar ellman as a future candidate?

Don’t put it past them…You think this is a step too far? Well smarmer will think nothing of going three far.

(He already went forfar in scotland when he manoeuvred to unship Richard Leonard)
