Video: the footage BBC didn’t want you to see as nurses take on Johnson

ITV’s footage shows nurses challenged Johnson’s NHS claims in Penzance

Johnson and the BBC: hiding from the truth

In Cornwall today, NHS nurses attacked Boris Johnson, challenging him on his magic ‘nurses tree’s and his untrustworthiness.

The BBC was there, but talked instead about difficult bus services to the hospital – on the day Labour revealed the Tories’ plan to sell the NHS to Trump.

But ITV released the video:

Johnson is a walking disaster – and spells catastrophe for the NHS if he gets back into government.

  1. Those poor nurses, forced to leave their work to pose for a cup of tea with the boorish Johnson. The one closest to him could hardly hold the cup and saucer. She looks completely knackered. God bless our NHS workers.

  2. She may well have been knackered but that wasn’t what I saw in her exression.
I saw a woman holding in her anger. Trust me, I’ve seen that look before…

  3. Telling Cornwall about the coming benefits of “4G broadband” – seriously.

  4. That trick of rolling up the shirtsleeves to give the appearance of “I’m ready to get some hard work done” used in the past also by Cameron makes me want to vomit. The hardest work that type has ever done is to wipe their own arse.

    1. Hang on, isn’t having a Groom of the Stool was one of the perks of being PM? It’s Gove’s job surely – he’s good for fuck all else.

  5. BloJob tells the BBC it’s “total nonsense” to suggest the leaked document means they have a secret plan for a trade deal on drugs & contracts.
No reporter yet has had the inspired flash of genius to ask him why, if the secret report is insignificant, it was necessary to redact 450 or 540 pages (depending who’s counting) to a few sentences.

  6. Boris got an award last year from the American Enterprise Institute.

The Irving Kristol Award is the highest honor conferred by the American Enterprise Institute. AEI gives the award annually to an individual who has made exceptional intellectual and practical contributions to improve government policy, social welfare, or political understanding.
Judge for yourself whether he was qualified.

    1. The New York Times reported on the event and it is quite revealing to see how Boris presents himself in front of the neo-cons.

What’s the worst mistake you’ve ever made?

“My strategy is to litter my career with so many decoy mistakes, nobody knows which one to attack,” Mr. Johnson declared. “In the last few minutes I’ve probably said something that the British media will say is absolutely outrageous, though I don’t know what it is.”…….

……..Discussing his political evolution, Mr. Johnson described how his encounters with “bourgeois affluent hypocritical left-wing students” at Oxford University proved so unpleasant that he underwent a political conversion, virtually on the spot.

“My right-wing feelings were triggered, to use a modern word, by my sense of outrage at their glutinous hypocrisy,” he said, speaking of his classmates.

While describing the need for what is known as “hard Brexit” — one without concessions to Europe — Mr. Johnson studiously avoided the topic of the trouble he has been stirring up back home.

I fucking guarantee he wrote that himself.

Like he wasn’t a fully-formed Tory before he ever put on the Eton spank-me suit. He was just shocked to discover that Etonians are scorned by real people everywhere including Oxford.

“My right-wing feelings were triggered, to use a modern word, by my sense of outrage at their glutinous hypocrisy,” he said, speaking of his classmates.

“Glutinous” hypocrisy ffs. Perfect example of a pointless adjective, loved by pseudo-intellectuals everywhere.
Not too hard to read someone who spouts bollocks about “right-wing feelings” – people who think politics want nothing to do with pretentious poseurs who feel politics.
Must have been a total shock to his smug sense of entitlement to have genuinely smart people take the piss out of his core beliefs.
