Formal NEC results delayed – again

Announcement of the results in the election of nine members to Labour’s National Executive Committee (NEC) were widely expected to be announced around midday today – which then went back to 2pm.

2pm passed and still no announcement – and the SKWAWKBOX now understands no full results will be announced until around 4pm.

Unconfirmed reports broken by the SKWAWKBOX suggest another clean sweep for the left slate candidates – but the continuing delay will be raising tension levels among the party’s majority left, in case some challenge or other complication is causing it.

The SKWAWKBOX needs your support. This blog is provided free of charge but depends on the generosity of its readers to be viable.
