Eyewitness on Corbyn’s Grenfell hug: “the boy ran up, Jeremy responded immediately”

The SKWAWKBOX earlier featured a deeply-moving, candid moment as Jeremy Corbyn was captured hugging a young Grenfell marcher – and the immediate attempt of Tory bots and (probably paid) trolls to dismiss the powerful, dangerous image as staged.

But Labour MP Karen Lee described the moment in a reply to a Facebook post of the image – and confirmed it was as natural, spontaneous and heart-warming as it looks:

Ms Lee understands loss. Her account trumps any Tory cynicism.

  1. You can’t manufacture a sense of humanity. Theresa May proves that. Jeremy just radiates it naturally.

  2. It’s so good that so many cameras were on hand to capture this event for posterity. What’s the point in mourning if the pics don’t get shared on Twitter!

  3. JC in my opinion is one of the kindest, caring & genuine persons
to have ever been a Labour leader .
I really hope that he becomes PM and the sooner the better..
    Well done Jeremy…
