Trafford Tories spell their party’s name wrong in election literature

The incompetence infecting the Tories is not only affecting the parliamentary party, with Boris Johnson and Theresa May stumbling from disaster to disaster – nor their online efforts, like the ‘Activate’ debacle and the official Conservatives’ Twitter account thanking Australian MPs for campaigning with them or announcing the wrong new party chair during a reshuffle.

It extends to their local election campaigning, too.

Trafford is the only Tory-run council in Greater Manchester, but it seems the Tories there are feeling the pressure of what is expected to be another Labour surge in next month’s local elections, as they appear to have failed to spot a rather obvious error – though it didn’t escape social media user ‘clarysage’:

Ah well – it wasn’t the biggest text on the leaflet and could happen to anyone…

  1. Tories obviously not doing their proof reading then, expect Trafford to fall to Labour.

  2. Should read Conservatories take action to repair roads they neglected for years, must be a local election coming up

  3. Fucking KNEW this stupid hosting service would fuck up the formatting.
    Or I would.

  4. I think the “rat” in the middle was a Freudian slip, they are indeed rats.

  5. F**k me…

In every photo I see of may these days she either looks like a gurning champion but without the horse’s collar. Mind you, when you’re that full o’ sh*t I suppose it’s normal to look like that.

  6. I heard, they gave the printing of Tory literature to a local Labour printing company.
Just like the board, the letters fell off, while May fumbled her way thru her speach.

  7. It was always said that to vote Tory you had to be rich and selfish or poor and stupid.
