Results of Starmer’s 2018 Brexit betrayal inverted for Corbyn, compounded for most despised PM in history
A Merlin Strategy poll has found that voters who currently intend to vote for Reform at the next general election have a far higher opinion of new ‘Your Party’ (working name) de facto leader Jeremy Corbyn than they do of red-Tory Keir Starmer – on every metric.
The poll is an inversion of the effects of Starmer’s ‘second referendum’ sabotage of 2018, which led to Corbyn’s 2019 general election defeat as working-class leave areas opted for Boris Johnson rather than for a party they regarded as betraying their vote in the 2016 EU referendum. Starmer had made an unauthorised conference speech in which he said Labour would hold a new referendum on the issue without implementing the first vote – with remain as an option, forcing leave voters to vote again to get what their first vote had been denied. Working-class left-wingers had warned this betrayal would lead to disaster and so it did.
But now the chickens have come home to roost where they belong. Starmer, already scraping barrel bottoms of unpopularity, is despised by both the left and the working class, even more so after his decisions to keep poor children hungry, to sell off and close even more of the NHS and to authorise Liz Kendall to wage war on the sick and disabled – and his backing for Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
Corbyn’s new party doesn’t even formally exist yet, but it already has well over 600,000 signed-up supporters – more Labour had even during his leadership. And it shows:
Starmer has constantly driven people to the far-right Reform UK ‘party’ led by Nigel Farage – the only way to consider him anything but disastrously incompetent is to assume that this has been deliberate, opening the door to fascist government.
It’s clear that Corbyn, despite years of smears and attempts to marginalise him – and a lot of delay and, frankly, foot-dragging in actually forming a new party – represents a prospect of dragging the UK back from that manufactured brink. Even voters prepared to stomach Farage for being not-Starmer are looking for a left-wing alternative, not Starmer’s Thatcher-mimicry.

35% of respondents think Starmer is authentic, 36% think he’s honest and principled, and 41% think he’s trustworthy!

If this poll is anything to go by, there’s a hell-of-a-lot of people out there who are totally divorced from reality.
About six/seven months ago I posted a comment to JVL in which I said that if they thought they could get away with it, Netanyahu and his fascist buddies would be murdering Palestinians in their thousands every day in gas chambers. Farage wants neither of the above & in fact according to their last manifesto Reform actually want tax cuts for the rich & tax handouts for private health, private education & private health insurance so if they get in power in future any health treatments we may need may depend on how much you have in your private health insurance account?

Brexit aside some suspect Blair, Starmer, Mandelson et al of probably meeting in a plush London Restaurant to plan Labour’s defeat in 2019 as the only way they could get rid of Corbyn; they couldn’t beat us on IDEAS and hence the electoral Suicide of the 2nd PV as the Labour Right caused millions of working class people to suffer under Johnson’s Tories!
Some argue now to the Right and Far Right, stirring up immigration is their meal ticket as they play some white working class people via exaggeration & disinformation (?).
Someone recently said “The Right is good on emotion, poor on facts whilst the Left is very good on facts but is poor on emotion.”
So we need to draw on emotion (we are caring & compassionate human beings) whilst we also need to remain calm, rational & to draw on critical thinking.
For example on attempts by the Right/Far Right now to stir up emotive issues against asylum seekers who are segregated into hotels.
The indigenous majority in the UK (the white population) is 83% so obviously most attacks on women & girls will come from white men.
Recently two grooming gangs were locked up but not a peep from the Right, Far Right and no White Mob because these two gangs where white!
Attacks on women & groups by all diverse men are wrong and need to be addressed but we have laws to deal with this.
But what we have is one group (The Far Right) focussing on one group (Male Asylum Seekers) because they hate them and as this does NOTHING to protect ALL women & girls!
One Stand Up To Racism supporter recently posted on their WhatsApp page a poster showing the photos and naming 109 Far Right associated known white make peodophiles claiming that 7 of them were known to a certain Far Right & EDL leader (?) so they need to get that poster out there and there was some talk of reading out those 109 names at Anti-Far Right Counter demos.

I regularly campaign for survivors of child abuse. I am a survivor from aged 8. Last year we had 115,000 cases of child sexual abuse. 106,000 were white british men.. The abuse i have had on my twitter for publishing the numbers is absolutely unreal. Nasty abuse. No wonder our girls are in danger. I regularly post on tommy Robinsons posts when he does an article on a single rapist. He never mentioned one word about his EDL grooming gang. Not one word yet over 110 convictions. Some multi time offenders.

As I see it, the question to answer is how many of the 600K will be willing to join the new Party and pay monthly subs of a minimum of £2.50 per month?
How many among the 600K are saboteurs, that will propose for example that paying monthly subs to the new party is voluntarily?
The problem in the UK is that most people including the young aren’t politically educated. This is why many young members of the Labour Party that joined inspired by Corbyn, were post 2018 Labour Conference easily persuaded to endorse the “People’s Vote” and the “Constructive Ambiguity” that cost us the 2019 election.
I want to be wrong but, somehow I will be very happy if 100K paid up members will join the new Party. I don’t believe 300K will join and pay subs, let alone 600K.

One local source I know (for we both live in that Constituency and had to put up with them at the CLP) told me a while back – though I cannot confirm this independently – that one half of that particular lethargic duo was reduced to driving buses somewhere in the West Country (Cornwall as I recall) following the loss of their cushy number in Parliament back in 2019.
The Tinge herself – who complained at the time that they would not be able to pay the mortgage on their des res at Upper Winn Gardens (a local description which I won’t go into) if she was not returned to Parliament – landed a sinecure on the board of Portsmouth Water. Though I don’t know if that remains the case.
As regards to the Tinge Party itself, I do remember that there were some interesting revelations about its accounts – or lack of. I’ll see if I can find them among my archives of the period.
