‘Designer’ Chancellor’s office claims all declarations are up to date, but Parliamentary Standards Commissioner suspects otherwise

Keir Starmer’s Chancellor Rachel ‘Freeze’ Reeves is under investigation by Parliament’s Commissioner for Standards for failure to properly declare a donation of free theatre tickets. Reeves’s name appears in the list of cases still being investigated, showing that she is suspected of a breach relating to paragraph 5 of the 2023 code of conduct:

Paragraph 5 reads:
Members must fulfil conscientiously the requirements of the House in respect of the registration of interests in the Register of Members’ Financial Interests. New Members must register all their current financial interests, and any registrable benefits (other than earnings) received in the 12 months before their election within one month of their election, and Members must register any change in those registrable interests within 28 days.
The breach is understood to relate to the non-declaration of National Theatre tickets received as a freebie last December. Her office has claimed her declarations are “fully declared and up to date”, but this appears to be a reference to a separate entry in her ministerial declaration, not her MP’s register.
Last autumn, Reeves, who has also accepted free tickets to expensive music concerts, was embroiled in an expenses scandal – while earning her nickname by cutting millions of pensioners’ Winter Fuel Allowance, a decision that the government knows will kill thousands of pensioners each winter, and the decision to keep poor children hungry – after declaring tens of thousands of pounds’ worth of free designer clothing as ‘office support’. She described the period in which she inflicted the cuts as the best time of her political career.
As an MP, Reeves had her parliamentary credit card blocked after running up more than £4,000 in charges. She has also been accused by a former banking boss of making up her pre-parliamentary career, claiming to have been an economist at Lloyds when she was in fact a ‘complaints support manager’ – and of truanting from her paid job by taking time off for supposed medical appointments to do Labour party work.

Typical tory, snout in the trough.
What’s NOT tory about this latest overt display of smarmerism, gobshite?
Any specific reason you’re refusing to answer this question

Hmmm?
Toffee – It’s not my problem that you are under the misapprehension that I am beholden to you.
Whatever gave you that idea, noncecase?
You ARE beholden to the populace of the nation you fled from but imposed a bunch of freeloading, carpetbagging rodents upon while telling us we should be grateful for them.
But no explanation forthcoming as to WHY we ought to be grateful. We just should be.
Rather infantile, but par for the course.
Toffee – I don’t recall ever saying that, do you have a direct quote or is this just another example of the stuff you make up?
I see.
So now you’re saying we SHOULDNT be grateful for smarmerist labour?
The smarmerist labour you keep telling us to vote for?
The smarmerist labour that you keep saying makes the rest of us tories if we don’t vote for them?
So in essence – yeah, you ARE saying we should be grateful for smarmerist labour bollocksing the nation.
Not very bright, are ya, soft ollies?
But hey!? At least they’re not tory by name…
Toffee – A simple admission that you made it up would have sufficed.
What with footie, theatre and concerts, and shopping for clothes, one must ask the question … WHEN do they do any work?
Work? They have more time off than the pope’s cock, ffs.
Theyll tell you it’s the disabled who don’t work.
It’s the disabled getting all the largesse
I had it my way, and those elitists, careerists and chancers would be doing a days graft, sure enough.

“more time off than the Pope’s cock”
Priceless! 👍
Certainly, Father Christmas seems to come to work more than some of these wasters.
Anofher trip to fhe wack world of wee noncease aka steve h.
Wee stevie nonce case reckons there’s a difference between smarmerism and conservatism.
Nobody else on this site either sees, or is aware of any difference, resulting in said people refusing to vote for keef.
Keef policies are every bit as tory as the tories he’s just succeeded. And wee noncecase won’t tell us what isn’t tory about them.
And according to our resident genius, refusing to vote keef is enabling the tories.
The wee gobshite is on record as saying people on here abandoned corbyn and voted de piffle in 2019.
THAT would be a case of enabling the rags – IF it were true.
But he refused to name anyone because he had no evidence. Because it was his usual dreamt up bullshit
But when people are on record as saying they refuse to vote keef because of the toerag policies hes enacting – that also means they’re tory enablers.
Yes folks, its the weird world of the wee gobshite – and that’s why we’re all wrong, and he alone is correct.
(Keep taking the thorazine, weird one.)
Toffee – …..but you were the one who repeatedly told us that all that you would rather vote for the Tories than vote for Labour. Have you forgotten that for the first time ever more of the working class (C2DE) voted Tory than the percentage who voted Labour (by a massive 15% margin). Given what you are repeatedly on record as saying, one has to wonder if you were one of them?
Didn’t say I voted toerag though.
Like you accused me – and others (who you still haven’t got the stones to name, because you fabricated that one, too) -of doing (you’re on record as dping so)
And as you’ve been told before, twas keefs and fatberg’s twin-pronged shithousery gave de piffle his majority.
Keef fell short of corbyn’s 2019 vote total, making keef more unpopular than corbyn whatever way you look at it, soft shite.
Keef soon changed his mind on brexit, didn’t he? The one he said weren’t gonna happen without a second vote.
And you still voted for him. L.O.L.
And despite all the tory policy he’s enacted since, you still blow his trumpet.
Which makes YOU the tory, not us.
But it’s the rest of us who are gullible tory enablers, according to your unsurpassed genius.
Utterly useless, infantile imbecile.
Oh, and for the record** (once again).
I would rather vote toerag and be fully honest with the people I was ready to shaft, than vote smarmerist labour and pretend I was on their side before shitting on them from a great height AND being an arrogant, aloof prick about it.
And especially when it comes to harbouring sex offenders, especially pederasts.
**Got that? Good. Now bookmark it, and remember it before the next time you want to try to call me “tory boy” , you sad, friendless noncecase.
There’s nothing to see here. Move along….
So,
i) a former paper-clip manager or actual economist now the most senior government executive in Finance (the monarch’s ‘Chancellor of Exchequer’, the head of King Charles’ Treasury) admits she was not ‘compliant’ with the appropriate form-filling and reporting processes pertinent to receiving a free-gift (in this case two tickets to attend a Sabrina Carpenter concert at the o2 back in March).
ii). The current Manager of the country, Prime Minister Sir Keir ‘Palantir’ Starmer, speaking on behalf of the country’s current owner, King Charles III, said he “supports all of his ministers making their own judgements” in relation to accepting hospitality within ministerial rules.
What are we doing wasting or time and intellects on this? Shouldn’t we be asking Miss Reeves whether she enjoyed Sabrina Carpenter’s o2 concert? Would it have been worth the money to Miss Reeves if she had needed to pay for the two tickets from her own £150,000+ salary and non-contributory pension contributions?
Me, I’d also need to ask Miss Reeves who (the zuck) is Sabrina Carpenter anyway and which needs-based benefit she and The Rt Hon Liz Kendall MP intend to cut next?
