Footage of eulogies given by mourners at the funeral of an IDF soldier killed in Gaza have exposed, yet again, the genocidal ‘war crimes ‘r’ us’ mentality of the Israeli right and the Zionism they espouse. Those lamenting the slain occupier talked affectionately of how he showed he was the most fun member of their platoon by blowing up a home for laugh – while others talked of how he ‘entered Gaza to take revenge, as much as possible, on women and children, on everything you saw’:
Israel has killed around 200,000 Palestinians, almost all civilians and mostly women and children, has maimed many more and is engaged in a siege to starve around two million ordinary people – and has begun trying to do the same to Lebanon while attempting to provoke a region-wide war.
Its supposed ‘revenge’ is also propaganda – on 7 October last year, most of the Israel victims were killed by their own military, as even Israel’s media now freely admits, though western ‘mainstream’ media remain silent, and Israel’s claims of other atrocities committed by ‘Hamas’ during the raid have been thoroughly disproven. Israel, by contrast, is routinely raping civilian hostages, has killed hundreds of babies and its supporters call for more rape and extermination.
The US, UK and German governments continue to support its genocide and warmongering.

BBC interviewer on the Today programme demanding of a Palestinian trying his best to come up with a reasonable peace plan with an Israeli former leader … “What are the Palestinians prepared to give up?” I must presume that “life” is not sufficient for her. She then questioned “What about Hamas?” The BBC really don’t understand this strange concept of “Democracy” do they. She never asked if the Israelis should give up their extreme religious nutters that state the Palestinians are “Human animals!”
Imagine if in the early ‘nineties a BBC radio 4 interviewer had been so brazen, disrespectful and one-sided when interviewing an ordinary Irish person about the ‘atrocities’ committed by the IRA or with (say) the president of Sinn Féin, Gerry Adams.

The claim here that ‘most of the Israel victims were killed by their own military’ is not evidenced by the accompanying link which restates that the issue was ‘immense’ and covers Israeli media’s reporting of this but nowhere states that the majority were killed by the IDF.

You are supporting the Israeli government tactic whereby they claim one thing, allow no investigation (hence the murdering of more journalists than were killed in the entire WORLD War II) – what do you think that is about? We know the IDF have a policy of killing their own people where they might be taken hostage, whilst of course they take thousands of Palestinians hostage, “jail” them, never put them through a recognisable trial, and use kids as bargaining chips. And what has occurred to those Palestinians held hostage appears far, far worse than what happens to Israelis held hostage by Hamas. Yet as soon as Starmer comments on the situation he rushed to the “Free the (Israel) hostages.” When has he ever so much as mentioned the Palestinians held hostage by Israel.
So if you’re looking for hard and fast, published, witnessed, verified “evidence” then you’ll be waiting a very long time … forever. Because one side is refusing to comply even with the most basic modes of humanity. So enough of your pedantic “There is no evidence!” There’s plenty.
There is evidence to support the fact that the IDF killed a large number of their own people. Claiming that they killed most of them cannot be substantiated, certainly not at the moment and perhaps never will be. The Israelis are rightly condemned for massaging facts but that’s mo reason to start fabricating your own.
I’ll take it, then, that you’re prepared to give them the benefit of any doubt. Despite israeli press saying it was the case the ibf opened up on their own. Despite israeli civilians saying the ibf killed their own in their own homes.
