‘Utter lunacy and an absolute disgrace’
Irish MEP Clare Daly has condemned the EU’s supposed ‘ceasefire motion’ regarding Israel’s mass slaughter of Palestinians as a ‘green light for butchery’ and ‘utter lunacy’, after right-wing Irish party sabotaged the motion with an amendment that changed it to a call for the slaughter to end when Israel has everything it wants from it:
In a joint statement with fellow Irish independent MP Mick Wallace, Daly explained further:
Today, Daly pointed out how Israel’s mouthpieces are celebrating the motion, confirming that it did nothing to protect Palestinian civilians from a genocide that has already killed around 33,000 people, three quarters of them women and children:
Daly and other Irish left-wingers have been among the few principled EU politicians genuinely standing up against Israel’s war crimes.

I hope the Irish Electorate hammer Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil at the next Irish GE – to be held sometime before March, next year(2025).
They’ve sold Ireland’s hard fought for Independence to the EU. For what? A seat at the EU neoliberal table?

I am surprised at the Irish reaction. They have previously
been very supportive of the Palestinians .. well compared
with the UK govt. that is!
The UK population are I think supportive of the Palestinians ..
far more so than either the Tories or Starmer’s Labour Party.

Concerns about ‘organ theft’ by Israel’s forces from dead Palestinians were raised by Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor.
Israel’s army has been accused of stealing organs from the dead in Gaza by an NGO, which called for an independent international investigation.
Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor said on Sunday it had “concerns” about possible organ theft from Palestinian corpses, following reports by medical professionals in Gaza who examined some bodies after they were released by Israel.
The NGO claimed it has documented Israeli forces confiscating dozens of dead bodies from the al-Shifa and Indonesian hospitals in northern Gaza, alongside others in the south.
Medical professionals reportedly found vital organs, such as livers, kidneys and hearts, alongside cochleas and corneas, were missing, which the Euro-Med Monitor called “evidence” of potential organ theft.
