Starmer: stopping killing in Gaza might lead to more violence but keeping bombing brings peace

Friend of genocide masquerading as Labour leader thinks we’re all fools

Keir Starmer, the hollowed-out shell of a man currently masquerading as leader of the Labour party, has said he ‘understands’ calls for a ceasefire, but can’t agree with them.

His rationale, he claims, is that a ceasefire might lead to more violence – presumably, as opposed to creating less violence by continuing to slaughter thousands of children, women, elderly people and United Nations teachers and medics. Almost five hundred children a day are currently said to be dying in Israel’s mass bombing of the tiny Gaza strip.

As well as the more than 3,000 children confirmed dead so far, many thousands more are suffering life-changing physical and psychological injury:

When asked whether Israel was committing war crimes, Starmer claimed that this was not for politicians to say. That didn’t stop him and his cronies condemning Russia’s alleged war crimes in Ukraine, of course, but perhaps war crimes stop being war crimes if you do them daily and with enough intensity – perhaps they somehow cancel each other out. He is monstrous.

Jabalia refugee camp was bombed just after Starmer supported Israel’s continuing genocide

While the ‘mainstream’ media were happy to parrot his rationale with little or no critique, the absolute malignant, murderous idiocy of Starmer’s supposed logic – and his obvious contempt for the public that he thinks they’ll swallow such nonsense – was rightly mocked by ordinary people and activists on social media, as well as by the few public figures worth their position, while others pointed out that within an hour or two of Starmer’s speech, Israel had bombed a refugee camp, killing at least another hundred innocents:

While Starmer was performing his poisonous pantomime, Amnesty International confirmed that Israel has added the indiscriminate use of white phosphorus – which burns flesh to the bone and is almost impossible to extinguish – to its long list of war crimes:

And documents revealed by Wikileaks show that Israel’s government is discussing the ‘strategic’ benefits of driving Palestinians out of Gaza completely, once and for all:

Starmer is as complicit in Israel’s genocide as if he was personally pulling bomb release levers. His proper place is in the Hague, not leading a political party that once used to stand for something good – and his contempt for the millions of decent, ordinary people in this country is as clear as his disregard for the lives and limbs of Gazan children.

  1. Lets be clear and unambiguous here.

Starmer is merely one among the host of Western political and media class who are not just supporting war crimes they are complicit in aiding and abetting them.

They should all receive the same outcome as those who stood in the dock at Nuremberg.

    1. They should all receive the same outcome as those who stood in the dock at Nuremberg.

Too many of them got off lightly.

This notion the israeli state has; one that because the Holocaust happened to (in the main, but not exclusively) jews, it somehow gives the israeli state (not exclusively, but majority, Jewish) carte-blanche to commit war crimes and atrocities with impunity, and in the godawful misnomer of self-defence, to me at least, is NO different and NO less infuriating as when nonces try to mitigate for themselves when they claim they abuse kids because they themselves were abused.

Illegal occupation and the forcible seizure of land is NOT self-defence

The ghettoization and corralling of people an ever-decreasing plot of land, combined with total control of the power and water supply is NOT self-defence

After the holocaust, Lidice was possibly one of the most biggest and most notorious crimes against humanity (in terms of scale) committed by the nazis.

But once again, the Israeli state has surpassed the 5000 or so innocent souls murdered at Lidice, in their vindictiveness.

For that’s what it is. Vindictiveness.

Vindictiveness, and the same superiority complex visited upon palestinans as the nazis showed to the jews.

      1. This notion the israeli state has;

Was meant to be followed by

enabled, and almost encouraged by, *ahem* so-called “pro-democracy” western powers….

  2. Those craters at the Jabilea refugee camp, and the associated killings, are very likely to have been caused by American bombs (provided free of charge).

No worries for the Euro-centric nationalists: they are only Arabs.

  3. You can watch the entirety of Keir Starmer’s speech + press Q&A here (duration 47 minutes)

  4. Starmer’s problem is, Jeremy Corbyn has said much of what needs to be said, already.

If Starmer changes his mind, now – such as it is – it would make it look as though he was agreeing with JC.

…and we can’t have that, can we?

  5. Truly appalling is the only thought we can carry away from this. There is not one moral bone in the current leadership of the Labour party.
But there are also two other strongly linked factors or issues which require attention.
Firstly, our government and opposition parties are just lapdogs who lie docilely at the feet of American administration’s of either of the two main parties in Washington. The Yanks snap their fingers and our hapless apologies for leaders jump to attention
Secondly, Israeli interference in our political process is beyond serious.
The vast structure of lies and other virulent propaganda aimed at Labour during the years of Jeremy Corbyn’s leadership was ultimately aimed at preventing a British political leader who supports the rights of the Palestinian people from gaining senior office. The criminal incompetence of B.Johnson and his cronies, as revealed by the ongoing shambles of his “oven-ready Brexit” and the daily revelations of the current COVID Enquiry show the direct consequence of this interference, which was wilfully aided by the Labour right from and including the PLP downwards.
Well, they got the government that they wanted, and should be called out for what they facilitated

      1. Like it or not it was all about Brexit. Whether you accept that reality or not is your problem. Get used to it.

      2. So you keep telling us. Who are you trying to convince, yourself?

      3. Clearly because they were lied to , deceived and propagandised to an unprecedented degree.
Having read the “banned 850+ page Labour report that Starmer banned, the Forde Report, and excellent books such as “Bad News for Labour”, and Asa Winstanley’s Definitive “Weaponisation of Anti-Semitism”, one would be in no doubt at the depths of political depravity that the Labour right subscribe to.

      4. “Having read the “banned 850+ page Labour report that Starmer banned, the Forde Report”

Have you actually read the ‘banned’ (138 page) Forde report, if not you can find this ‘banned’ report freely available here

      5. Just to be clear: ” the 850+pages report that Starmer banned, PLUS the Forde Report”, etc, etc.
For the hard of hearing, the term PLUS means “in addition to”.
Reading my original again, it is clear that my clarification here is unnecessary for a native English speaker.
I must say that this little episode tends to make me think that Steve is some form of foreign bot.
Artificial, probably, but the jury is still out in the intelligence bit…….

      6. Ludu57 – You might have had a point if you hadn’t missed out the PLUS in your original comment.
Given that Corbyn’s close advisor Milne was a member of this WhatsApp group it makes one wonder how long Corbyn’s team were aware of this ‘enemy within’ and why they didn’t tackle it earlier.

      7. Facts are facts Billy. Its your problem if you can’t deal with them.

    1. Breaking News

Hamas has just announced that they will be releasing a number of foreign captives in the coming days

  6. Jeremy Corbyn has spent years arguing the case for justice for Palestinians and for a political settlement.
This conflict did not start three weeks ago.
The dispossession, oppression, murder, ethnic cleansing and violence against Palestinians have been going on for all of my life.
Corbyn’s courage in exposing the zionist lies about the Apartheid State of Israel was the reason for the weaponisation of anti-Semitism by the Israeli lobby and his political assassination.

And – Whose campaign for the leadership of the Labour Party was richly supported by Sir Trevor Chinn (a member of the Jewish Leadership Council) (£50,000)
None other than Trilateral Commission member – Sir Kier Starmer, KCB.

The same Trevor Chinn who regularly funded Tom Watson (over £45,000) who led the anti-Semitism slurs against Corbyn.
Are we surprised by Starmer’s reluctance to call for a halt to the bombing of Gaza ?
Now is not the time !!
    Come off it !

    1. To understand the nature of the support that self-proclaimed “proud Zionists” like Starmer and Nandy have attracted, I strongly recommend Tony Greenstein’s new book, Zionism During The Holocaust. It is a real eye opener.

      1. You forgot to mention the left’s candidate, RLB’s, contribution to the leadership debate

Asked about the Labour whistleblowers who appeared on Panorama, however, Long-Bailey was willing to criticise the leadership. She said: I don’t think the party gave the right response. We should not have called out or attacked former members of staff… We should apologise for how we behaved. We should settle any claims that were made. She also confirmed that she would welcome Luciana Berger and Louise Ellman back into the party, saying what they “have been through was absolutely shocking”.
Most surprisingly of all, the Shadow Business Secretary offered an answer on Zionism that raised eyebrows among a number of her supporters on the Labour left. While frontrunner Keir Starmer declined the opportunity to self-describe as a Zionist, Long-Bailey concluded: “I also agree with a secure Israel alongside a viable Palestinian state… I suppose that makes me a Zionist because I agree with Israel’s right to exist and right to self determine.” It’s not difficult to see that one commanding Labour Twitter discourse for the next few days.
        https://labourlist.org/2020/02/how-each-leadership-candidate-fared-in-the-jewish-labour-movement-hustings/

      2. RLB, who had this to say on the principle of due process:

“My advice to Labour Party members is that it is never OK to respond to allegations of racism by being defensive.

The only acceptable response to any accusation of racist prejudice is self-scrutiny, self-criticism and self-improvement.”

        https://blogs.timesofisrael.com/i-will-sign-up-to-all-of-boards-asks-in-antisemitism-fight/

Another fan of allegations being equal to a guilty verdict and against anyone having the right to defend themselves against an allegation.

Tell us again Billy how credible anyone is on anything they say who takes such extreme, exceptionalist, anti-rational positions?

    1. Two issues not addressed:

      1. The opening statement which argues that a ceasefire is not viable on the basis that this will leave the infrastructure of one side in the conflict intact. It will also leave the infrastructure of the other side intact.

So what’s the problem? Would Starmer support such a position if the situation were reversed? It is yet another example of the double standards and hypocrisy which is driving this genocide.

      2. The right to self-defence is only afforded to one side.

What Starmer is clearly wanting is for one side to be left totally defenceless without having any right to agency and self-defence whilst giving a blank check to the other side to do what it wants.

This is not statesmanship. Its not even being human. What is clear is that such people, regardless of nominal party rosette, are not fit to be anywhere near power simply because they represent a threat to anyone who disagrees with them. They cannot deal with being contradicted.

Hence, anyone who challenges them is targeted. Those who advocate for them are equally a threat to the rest of us.

  7. Can anyone (apart from steveH of course) still see Labour winning by a landslide at the next election? Seems to me their lead in the polls is likely to evaporate quicker than a snowball in hell. I mean, come on, Starmer is just soooo fucked!

Either that or we will be!

    1. Either that or we will be!

We are anyway, regardless of who governs next time.

      1. You don’t have much faith in the British sense of fair play, Toffee. Once you offend that, the writing’s on the wall.

People are starting to see he’s a wrong’un. The demos will only get larger. Someone WILL step into the breach with a new party, sensing a huge opportunity. It had better be one of ours!

      2. You don’t have much faith in the British sense of fair play,

        The what, now??

  8. You forgot to mention the left’s candidate, RLB’s, contribution to the leadership debate

Oh, so SHE was the left’s candidate, was she?

And there was keef, promising all sorts of Continuity Corbyn.

You know? That very same Corbyn you claim lost labour those eighty seats?

That very same Corbyn you brag about voting for TWICE??

But keef, being as you used to continually used to describe him, was merely “the best of a bad bunch”, wasn’t he?

So explain just WHY you voted for keef IN DETAIL, or take your face for a shite, you fickle two-hat.

  9. “Keir Starmer is being hounded wherever he goes. As he leaves Chatham House in London, the crowd is screaming ‘murderer’ and ‘coward’ as he makes good his escape in a waiting car.”

He is indeed a coward and a murderer, a genocide supporter and is the Chief Establishment Paedo Protector. What a human being.

    https://x.com/RaggedTP/status/1719367262098936261?s=20

    1. baz, the MSM will never show the crowds’ spontaneous adverse reaction and disapproval to nominal-Labour leader Starmer. Credit to Ragged Trousered Philanderer for featuring it on their X post. It needs to be done more. (and I’m sure that as strong as the footage from Chatham House is, there are clearer/larger displays elsewhere).

  10. This is what Starmer wants to continue until all the Palestinian babies, women and men have been killed in Gaza. Now is not the time says Starmer. May he rot in hell….

“A regular scene repeated every day. Both of the mother and her baby whom she holds and hugs killed in cold blood by #Israel. This is the so called Israeli right to self defence.”

    https://x.com/Samehahabeeb/status/1719618066894467131?s=20

    1. And I have heard that the plan is to follow all this up with the customary land grab, which continues unabated on the West Bank. Apparently, over on that side, it is Israeli government policy to allow settlers to kill Palestinian farmers and claim (steal) their land with impunity. It has been noted by the UN rapporteur. Another reason for Tel Aviv to demand the Gen. Sec.’s resignation.

      1. Indeed, the Israeli govt has even distributed machine guns to the settlers for just that purpose.

  11. SteveH31/10/2023 AT 7:25 PM
So you keep telling us. Who are you trying to convince, yourself?

A refusal to discuss the actual reason people deserted labour in the ’19 election.

Coupled with his point-blank refusal to discuss his support for keef allowing children to go hungry, as well as his tacit support for keef’s abject and apparent child sexual abuse failings when DPP.

Combined with his refusal to address keef’s latest shithousery regarding the current pressing issue of the day, where people (the majority of whom are women & children…[co]incidentally and generally of a non white, non-jewish, non-christian creed) are being industrially butchered in Palestine, with keef’s thinly-veiled approval.

Is it just me sees an unmistakeably and deeply concerning trend, here?

  12. “Labour say it is legally justifiable to bomb refugee camps.” –
    Rt Hon David Lammy MP.

This is not the real Labour Party.
(Transform Politics – and it’s inevitable off-shoot(s) need to get a move-on. There will be a GE before we know it).

  13. “it’s for israel to justify it’s actions…”

So in essence, let the crime be committed – as long as the perp explains itself.

This, from yet another clueless twunt of a lawyer ffs.

And when Israel tells the likes of lammy to GTFO they’ll shrug their shoulders and say “oh, ok then”

Not that israel will need to, with completely spineless, simpering gobshites like lammy and smarmer already batting for them.

  14. Lammy is much more than an acquiescent, ‘simpering gobshite’ (v well put!), Toffee. Although it hardly-features in the Gaza-stage of the billionaires’ “Great Reset” (© Kurt Schwab enterprises), his role in the great “pandemic” narrative (fostering hysteria) tells us more than the gormless twat realises.

Hysteria, fear and misinformation are always useful to the likes of him (and Starmer and Reeves and Nandy), gobshites, all.

    1. Im unfortunate to know genuine gobshites, of whom it’s grossly unfair to categorise alongside the likes of lammy, smarmer, nandy, et al. 😕

      1. Point taken, TToffee. Very few of even the most-virulent, pukka, super-strength gobshites that we meet in everyday life are directly complicit in war crimes like Nandy, Lammy, Starmer. etc..

  15. Off topic — some good news:

Extract of an email from Peace & Justice Project:

The government has now confirmed it has scrapped its plans to close 1000 train station ticket offices in England in what is an absolutely huge victory for TSSA, RMT and ASLEF trade unions and the millions of people who rely on these absolutely essential services to travel on our railways, as well as those who need additional support during their commutes.
