Starmer repeats NHS lie that saw Twitter attach correction just two days ago

Local elections have no bearing on NHS funding or waiting times – yet Starmer repeats claim that was tagged as dishonest

Keir Starmer has again claimed that votes for Labour in next month’s local elections will mean shorter NHS waiting lists – just two days after the same claim was tagged by Twitter with ‘context’ showing how the claim was dishonest.

Local elections have no effect whatever on NHS waiting times or resources, yet Starmer keeps repeating the claim:

Labour’s campaign has already been widely slammed for dishonest and hypocritical attacks on Tory PM Rishi Sunak – and for repeating those tactics in Liverpool with an appalling, cowardly and dishonest smear campaign against a left-wing independent councillor Labour clearly fears.

I know lying is like breathing for you pal but my local council isn’t going to substantially change the countries health service, regardless of how I vote.

If you return a load of councillors come May 5th, what then? They’re not in charge of the NHS, so this ‘pledge’ is broken.
