First of string of results ‘overwhelming’ as members at several train companies and Network Rail cast ballots. See full result and schedule for others below

Workers in station grades at Avanti West Coast have voted overwhelmingly for strike action and action short of a strike in the first of a string of ballots organised by the TSSA rail union, as union members fight for their pay, job security and conditions.
TSSA members on the West Coast Mainline help to keep stations safe and running smoothly, dealing with customers, tickets and carrying out station platform duties. The union has collective bargaining rights for all station and revenue protection staff at Avanti West Coast. The company operates passenger train services and stations including from London Euston to Birmingham, Crewe, Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow.
The ballot results were massively in favour of action, with almost as many prepared for a full strike as for ‘action short of a strike’:
Prepared to take industrial action consisting of a strike –
Yes – 86.1 per cent
No – 13.9 per cent
Prepared to take industrial action short of a strike –
Yes – 91.6 per cent
No – 8.4 per cent
Turnout 66.3%

Put up the extraction and exploitation records of each company and director and ownership
Put up public subsidy and jncreased fares and reduced investment record
Call for Nationalisation
Ask who do you support ‘the workers or the fat cat bosses and Tories’
Repeat Ad nauseum ‘this is a cheap and nasty Tory party strike’ followed by ‘due to the Tory cost of living crisis’
Inflation is caused by greed and companies ripping us off, there is no such thing as wage inflation, there never has been
By definition wage rise should match price rise to maintain parity, most companies are increasing prices into the double digits, if you do that you should have the decency to pass on increased profits
Or
Reduce fat cat rewards by same amount as workers loss of earnings in past 12 years
Ask every interviewer who they support, workers or fat cats and Tories, then remind them who owns their sorry arses
Ask how much they earn, have they had a pay rise in last 12 years, tell them they will never suffer from cost of living crisis
Freeze MP’s wages in manifesto commitments
My pet demand is talk about how much a business or organisation can afford over next 3 years and divide it equally between number of employees, if your serious about closing the gap
Talk about what’s good for business and society, the answer is give the money to those who need it and those who will spend it
Good News…and brings us closer to a General strike.ITs the only response the UK parliament parasites understand .Strength and fightback is the only way…Followed by a tried and tested “carrot and stick approach.A General strike and than a General election is the only way out for the liberation of the working class..
“Nowhere there does it say renationalisation”
No it doesn’t. It’s just that something like 68% (IIRC) of Joe Public want it to happen, keef…
.A General strike and than a General election is the only way out for the liberation of the working class.
A general election provides ZERO choice, Joseph. They’re all the same. All’s it will do is continue the establishment’s peddling of the myth that capitalism is king.
It’s time the rich shelled out for the services they use and profit from, but don’t pay for.
Who to vote though? THIS TORY or THAT TORY?
We need to sack Westminster and rehire civil servants not demigods and frauds.
National Strike until The NHS is fully funded and all fat cat Executices removed, Privatisation is reversed to the very first Privatiisation. Banks, MSM, MSSM, MSP, Internet is back in the hands/at least to serve The PEOPLE, with NO Advertising/Manufactured Consent of any kind. A revised Parliament that puts MPs back in the position of Civil Servants instead of egotistic demigods and lawdy lawds out the backdoor. All Corporate and Personal Tax to be paid by persentage NOT by fancy, accross the board and back-dated to reverse ANY & ALL previous Dodging. The old girl booted from Buckingham palace and a public space, perhaps an art gallery, tearooms and gardens and a free hotel for the homeless and poor! Don’t sack them just yet, leave them to see the public enjoyng ‘their’ palace for a decade or so, mwa hah hah hah! To name but a few demands!?
