Grassroots, front-line speakers back Beckett – and candidate shows fire in campaign launch for Unite general secretary elections
An array of speakers from across Unite’s industrial sectors and nations spoke to back Howard Beckett to be the next general secretary of Unite in tonight’s official launch of his campaign chaired by union and Labour legend Jennie Formby – and the candidate showed fire and vision for the union’s impact and influence in both the industrial and political areas on behalf of members.
