Broadcaster with supposed commitment to impartiality published video showing Tory Chancellor as superhero ‘on a mission to save the economy’ – but quickly deleted it
The BBC has hurriedly deleted a video that it published portraying Tory Chancellor Rishi Sunak as a superhero ‘on a mission to save the economy’.
The video showed Sunak flying about the country in a Superman-style outfit:
But when its toadying content led to widespread comparisons with North Korean state propaganda, the BBC panicked and deleted both a tweet and an article on its website containing the embarrassing nonsense:
But the excruciating video was saved for posterity – including the sadly unsurprising crassness of Sunak literally handing cash to a line of unemployed people:
The BBC has previously been exposed doctoring a video of Boris Johnson to remove adverse audience reactions – and was rightly criticised today for the contrast in its treatment of former Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn and its anything-but-impartial coverage of the Tories:
Sunak has taken the credit for coronavirus measures to which he had to be dragged kicking and screaming. The UK’s ‘furlough’ programme was only created after intense pressure from Unite and other unions forced the Tory Chancellor to u-turn on his plan to hand huge cash bail-outs to large corporations. Unsurprisingly, this was not reported by the BBC or other so-called ‘mainstream’ media.
If democracy depends on a functioning mainstream media holding the government to account, we are living in a post-democratic country.

Laughable, embarrassing, yes, but the sinister RW agenda of the BBC is there for all to see. It’s no surprise of course, and has been going on quite openly for years, but with at least a pretence of impartiality. But when even the pretence all but disappears, and we see the State Media openly promoting a corrupt fascist would be dictator and his chums, we really do need to worry. Only thank god that we have Keir, the hammer of the right . . .

Very interesting. I recently met a young woman who used to work in the Radio 4 newsroom, and she told me she was initially shocked by the wall to wall Tory support, and the flip side hatred and disparagement of all things left.
Obvious as shit on a shoe to readers here but the apolitical majority would have no idea of the influence exerted on their minds by the establishment through the upper echelons of the BBC.
I’ve said it before and I’m going to keep on saying it – if we want to force the MSM to report honestly, jail for those who subvert democracy is the only conceivable incentive.
Announcing that the first thing we’ll do on winning a GE is enact ex post facto legislation to jail them for their past lies will have them up in arms – in ‘challenging’ our evidence their lies will necessarily multiply until they stretch the credibility of even the stupidest viewer to breaking point.

I was just having a conversation with a good friend and pointing out to him that I have not heard anyone at all (ANYONE) either in the media or politics, face off Hancock and accuse him of the most outrageous lie of all, that he threw a protective ring around care homes. Cummings knows that their lies won’t be challenged. In former times Labour might have done so, but certainly not now. On Today the other day Nick Robinson ever so gently asked Hancock if he thought that the protective ring boast might not have been a very ‘good idea…’ Pathetic.

The biggest laugh was when the Beeb actually erected a statue of George Orwell outside of their London HQ. As if in some way Orwell’s reflected glory would add legitimacy to their own very shoddy broadcasting and journalistic standards. Worse they clearly hoped to make Orwell a BBC establishment man when it’s obvious that especially today he would have recoiled at the very thought.
Orwell had only worked for the BBC Eastern Service between 1941 to 1943 making war time propaganda programmes for India which even he recognised few Indians listened to. His work at the BBC is said however to have increased his interest in how the totalitarian state makes use of propaganda which of course was a central theme in Nineteen Eighty Four

Pilot sporting events allowing limited numbers of spectators at Goodwood, the Crucible and The Oval, will not go ahead.
Wedding receptions with up to 30 guests cannot yet happen”
Venue categories that have been closed until today were self-evidently NOT the cause of any rise in CV cases.
Opening pubs and not insisting on masks everywhere in public WAS the cause.

The only reason there’s no evidence for my assertions is that the Tories were too stupid to have enough masks manufactured and too stupid to gather the right kind of evidence.
