Tory leader’s contortions during Marr interview
Police have submitted a file to the Crown Prosecution Service concerning the Russian links of Boris Johnson and Michael Gove. The Tories have refused to release an intelligence services report on Russian activities until after the general election even though the intelligence services say there is no reason to delay, leading to justified questions about what they want to keep hidden.
Last year, Johnson squirmed and floundered when pressed by Andrew Marr on his acceptance of a £160,000 donation to play tennis with the wife of a Russian oligarch closely linked to Vladimir Putin – a video that went viral at the time and deserves to do so again:
The Tories have accepted enormous sums – many times more than £160,000 – from Russian donors and have never satisfactorily explained what those donors receive or expect in return.

Michael Gove’s apology of an interview on Today this morning, in the prestigious 08.10 spot was very revealing in that he gave great energy to avoiding answers to questions, and trying to make Jeremy Corbyn the focus.
Nothing new there, but his characteristic evasiveness clearly marked out that he has something to hide.
I think he said that Corbyn ‘sided with Putin’ over the incident in Salisbury. He was not challenged on this nonsense by the ‘interviewer’.
But as the subject has been raised, I think there are questions to answer:
1. Why would the Russians want to kill Skripal now when they had ample opportunity to do so in the past?
2. Why would they break the protocol that exchanged spies are not harmed?
3. Why put Novichok on a door handle? It could easily hit someone other than the target.
4. Surely the people who supposedly put Novichok, a deadly nerve agent on a door handle, would need to wear full protective clothing lest they became unintended victims of it?
I know. It’s so unlike them. Dead Russian journalists and opponents of Putin. Probably only sleeping.
The attack on Corbyn was contrived by New Labour and other partys just as they did over the bombing of Syria, the fact that Corbyn did not support Putin but called for International protocols to be observed which is lost in the mist of misinformation.
She “paid £30k to sit next to the Defence Sec”??!! Shades of Profumo, surely?
Bojo it about political morality. You revile Russia but you accept their money.
