The case against local blogger Julian Saunders for swearing and harassment toward Sandwell council chief executive has collapsed moments ago as video evidence was agreed by the judge to show not only that Saunders had not used the words claimed by Sandwell council’s witnesses, but also that the words had not been directed toward chief executive Jan Britton and were an aside to a bystander. The district judge immediately moved to a closing statement and a not-guilty verdict.
The prosecution’s application for a restraining order preventing Saunders contacting or communicating further with Britton was also refused.

This was a case that never looked like it should have been brought and the judge rightly assessed the video evidence as fatal to the prosecution’s case.
Frustrated reports back to their offices by local journalists overheard by the SKWAWKBOX outside the courtroom reflected the lack of substance to the case.

A terrible waste of public money on a vanity project right from the start!!
Justice prevails. I was accused of being viole t hostile and aggressive to South staffordshire and shropshire healthcare trust. It was at st georges hospital stafford. On baseless grounds I was banned from going on the grounds of the hospital. And not been allowed to see my dangerously unwell daughter for seven months. The reason was because she was under neuro services before for fifteen years and the family were treated as valued. My daughter was discharged in 2017 when she left home even though her tests showed up neurological problems. The social worker paInted me as a person who was not really disabled needing a wheelchair. This is getting worse and I really think it’s because the govt are so good at it.
