The Times recently provided an object lesson in the depths of Establishment fear and desperation to smear Jeremy Corbyn with its attempt to paint the Labour leader as antisemitic for appearing alongside a respected Jewish Holocaust survivor – eight years ago. Corbyn, at that time, was standing squarely in support of Jewish people, as his voting record – easily checkable – showed.
The Times had scraped right through the barrel-bottom – but it seems it just kept on digging until it hit the sewer.
The rag has now attempted to smear Corbyn by association with racist organisation the KKK, based on a comment from the KKK’s leader. But to use that, the Murdoch outfit had to ignore the fact that David Duke had launched a vicious attack on Corbyn for his anti-racist activities:

The Establishment is stooping to depths that are not only ludicrous but self-defeating. The smears have been pushed so far beyond any credibility that they are exposing the desperation, fear and bankruptcy of those behind them.
And the Times has put that beyond reasonable doubt.

Not according to my recollection, and I’m 50 and have been politically engaged since the Thatcher/Kinnock years. This is a first for me. I guess their desperation and intensity of outright hatred is made even more pronounced by the fact there is an alternative which is ‘drowning out’ their vile message: social media. People are no longer reliant on MSM to form their political opinions. Before, at least they used to be magnanimous in their criticism. But now, that wont be strong enough a negative message, they have to ‘go nuclear’ to make any impact. The good thing is that they have used their ‘nuclear option’ including roping in right-wing Israeli government propaganda machinery, and the man is still standing. They have nothing left. Not to say that there aren’t some foolhardy Blairite MPs who are still deluded enough to think that they can launch chicken coup Mk-2, which is what all these AS smears are a precursor to.
You mean to say you don’t recall Murdoch’s Sunday Times running the ‘Kinnock’s Kremlin Connection’ so-called story just a couple of months before the 1992 general election, when Andrew Neil was editor, which was dutifully taken up by the rest of the Tory-supporting rags, although it was based on absolutely nothing?

In the mix are: A bolshie Israeli lobby, galvanised by Trump, Labour party Atlanticists who think Corbyn is too soft on nuclear weapons and not hard enough on Russia or Syria, Labour party remain supporters who think Corbyn is worse than May, Labour party right wingers who think they might lose their careers unless they can remove Corbyn, Right-wing/establishment/liberal media who despise Corbyn, a weak Conservative party and an electorate that has had it with neoliberalism and austerity. So, all the protagonists apart form the electorate have put aside their differences and Corbyn’s Labour movement must be destroyed whatever the cost.
Worse I can remember before this was the propaganda campaign against Arthur Scargill. Then the deep state in the form of MI5 was implicated in some of it according to some newsppapers at the time.

As I keep saying – and I’ll keep saying it! – the most disgusting and despicable thing about this black propaganda op is that they are using the very thing that led to the Holocaust as a weapon against their political opponents, and the reality is that they really don’t give a damn about actual anti-semitism, except in so far as they can use it – one way or another – for their own ends.

I have no issues whatsoever with people’s sexuality, race, gender or whatever, and I will defend their right against oppression, but the first thing we have to strive for is “workers of the world unite”, which means workers whatever their sexuality, race, gender or whatever unite against their common exploiter. You’ll find a lot of what you are looking for in the Labour Party’s manifesto.
Despite numerous cases of alleged anti-semitism during the past three years since shortly after JC was elected leader (which will no doubt magically come to an end if the Blairites regain control), as far as I am aware, not a single one of the allegations has – usually after an inordinate length of time! – been upheld. What I find most despicable about this black propaganda op – for that is what it is of course – is that they are using the very thing that led to the Holocaust as a weapon against their political opponents (or enemies, as they would see it), never mind smearing and falsely accusing innocent people/individuals of A/S (or sexual abuse or homophobia etc), or duping and deceiving millions of people in the general public, or subverting democracy by such means.
Racism and anti-semitism (and sexual abuse and homophobia etc) are ALL criminal offences, and yet not a single one of the accusations, of whatever nature, has ever been reported or referred to the police (and a criminal investigation taken place as a consequence). But then why bother with such trifles when the MSM and the accusers have already pronounced them guilty! As Malcolm X said:

It goes way beyond the BBC Jim. Tonight on Ch4 news they intimated that the election results in Zimbabwe were “announced in the middle of the night when most people were tucked up in bed” as if it was a sneaky trick and not normal election practice. It happens all the time on every channel. News has largely become opinion dressed up to influence us in some way.

I only read a couple of paragraphs or so before the smugness of the writer became too much to bear. And needless to say – as per usual – there was no Comments section.
