How many police have Tories cut in your area? Find out here

The last few days have seen the unseemly spectacle of Home Secretary Amber Rudd trying desperately to deny the obvious – that police cuts imposed by the Tories have played a role in the sharp rise in violent and serious crime.

Ms Rudd has maintained her denial even though a leaked report by her own department acknowledged the ‘likely’ contribution the cuts have made to the serious problem.

This link was so glaringly obvious that even BBC personnel were forced to highlight both that and the fact that she has been avoiding questions on the issue.

Now a new web tool has been set up to allow people all over the country to see the specific impact of Tory cuts on policing in their area:

  1. Just worked for me,huge amount of cuts to the met. It is such a pity that people like Woodcock don’t put more energy into highlighting these injustices and less squealing about perceived faults in the party leadership.

  2. I do think it is a little bit simplistic to see the following idea:

    Fewer police=more crime.
