Pro-Corbyn accounts come out for Formby for #JenSec

Hot on the heels of the welcome by MPs and others for the announcement by Unite’s Jennie Formby that she will apply for the position of Labour Party General Secretary, a number of prominent pro-Corbyn accounts and organisations are also set to endorse her candidacy.

Red Labour had already announced their endorsement and Labour Left did so just minutes ago:

@JeremyCorbyn4PM is also expected to come out in support in the course of the day.

Edit: that endorsement is now published:

The successful candidate will be recommended to this autumn’s party conference by Labour’s National Executive Committee (NEC), but there seems to be a groundswell among the pro-Corbyn membership and their organisations in favour of the Unite regional Secretary, who currently represents the union on the NEC but would step down from that position if she becomes General Secretary.

  2. Dilemma ,,, good/bad,, Jon Lansman has decided to also stand (if not fake news ) , IMO it opens up the process and now feels less like a pre-determined ordination , but concerned at the possibility of right winger Izzard gaining access to NEC seat as a looser to Lansman .May the best left winger win and we maintain all our left wing seats on the NEC ( work it out ) ;-0
