Investments in 11 further companies divested and all contracts with Israeli asset managers terminated

Norway’s Sovereign Wealth Fund, worth around $2 trillion, has announced that it is divesting from eleven Israeli companies and terminating all contracts with Israeli asset managers after the Norwegian government ordered a review of all investments following revelations that the fund had increased its holdings in an Israeli firm servicing the engines of fighter jets engaged in Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
The move is an extension of the fund’s divestment from Israeli energy firm Paz Retail and Energy in May. It has taken the fund almost two years of Israel’s slaughter of Palestinians to make the move, compared to its almost instantaneous decision to dives from Russia after Russia’s partial invasion of Ukraine in 2022.
Better late then never, but far better sooner than later – but the move puts the Starmer government in the UK to shame, which continues to directly support Israel’s extermination of Gaza as well as vastly accelerating arms sales to the coloniser regime and waging war on UK journalists and activists to protect Israel.
Israel continues to starve and murder Palestinian children and to target the journalists who expose its crimes and the medics and hospitals that treat those who survive its bombings and shootings.

“Better late then never”?
Credit goes to Norwegian citizens for campaigning hard and relentlessly against the Wealth Fund facilitating a pretend ‘war’ in Gaza and the plausible genocide it disguises and Israel‘s wider, historic occupation of Palestinian Territories.
Civil society groups, including Historikere for Palestina, have documented that at least 30 of the 65 Israeli companies still held by the fund are complicit in violations of international law, including settlement expansion, surveillance of Palestinians, and resource exploitation in occupied territories. https://www.972mag.com/norway-oil-fund-israel-divest/
Better late than never? Yes and entrely due to the hard work of Norwegian citizens and civil rights campaigners. Well done!
Sweden’s war crimes unit has received more than 700 reports from Gaza since 2023, launching multiple investigations that could feed into cases in Sweden, other countries, or at the International Criminal Court.

Keefs aware of just as many war crimes, and possibly more. I reckon he’s watched a few live from the spyplane footage.
So, how many investigations does he intend to feed into the UK justice system??
I’ll tell you now. Not a one.
And the excuse will most likely be that the court system’s far too rammed to be trying any British idf personnel for
atrocitiesmisdemeanours (as keef views them) abroad.Oh, and…
Because israel DOES have that right
