Chilling sign of mushrooming police state under Starmer regime
An open call last night for members of the public wanting to take part in a ‘Defend Our Juries’ (DOJ) human rights group’s sign-holding action this weekend was shut down by Zoom, just before it was about to start, after an order from the Met Police.
An email from the Zoom ‘Trust and Safety Team’ informed the organisers that:
Zoom has received a request from the Metropolitan Police Service, Counter Terrorism Internet Referral Unit, London UK seeking to restrict access to users to a meeting scheduled by your account, specifically meeting number 88143893690.
The move comes in the same week that the DOJ website was put out of action after its hosting provider was threatened by the government or a pro-Israel lobby group. A DOJ spokesperson said:
Earlier this week our website was taken down but in less than a day we have a new website. After they shut down our meeting, within half an hour we had another one up and running. And despite having 30 minutes to reschedule, hundreds still turned up.
Who ever thought these things would be happening in this country?
This attack on the right to organise and protest are a continuation of the Starmer regime’s ‘lawfare’ war on pro-Palestine speech and even journalism, as the UK continues its forced slide into fascism and a police state. The group says the police action will spur them to redouble its efforts:

It’s within zoom’s right to tell the Met to get the fuck out of it. If the old bill wanted to shut it down they should be getting a court order.
And I doubt the courts would look too favourably on a judgement to stifle a discussion about people’s legal and lawful rights – especially when the group concerned isn’t a proscribed one (yet).

The videos are pretty much of a muchness, and some of those filming are an lying little procks woth nowt better to do; but they’re a valuable source of information for knowing your rights when plod stop you…and risibly try to abuse anti terrorism laws to get them to stop going anout their lawful business – even if most of them are deliberately winding the plod up.

There needs to be an accounting of the different pro-Israeli pressure groups or individuals who are encouraging these actions and exerting totally unwarranted and selective or even sectarian influence. I believe the word is “corruption”.

I was raised in a police family, and knew lots of them, even know some who joined about 25 years ago, at a time when the recruit was a decent bloke ….. and it you think one copper in a million would have the slightest concerns, then you don’t know many. ALL are just lying thugs in uniforms.
