Amazon Labor Union founder Chris Smalls severely beaten and only allowed to see lawyer surrounded by police
The Freedom Flotilla Coalition (FFC) has confirmed that on his arrival in Israeli custody after the humanitarian vessel Handala was attacked and seized by Israel in international waters, US humanitarian volunteer Chris Smalls was assaulted and beaten by seven uniformed individuals, who choked him and kicked him, leaving visible signs of violence on his neck and back.
Smalls was only allowed to meet his lawyer while surrounded by six members of Israel’s special police unit. This level of force was not used against other abducted activists. The FFC has condemned this violence against Chris and is demanding accountability for the assault and discriminatory treatment he faced. Huwaida Arraf and Bob Suberi, two other crew members of the Handala, have been released from Israeli detention. Fourteen remain held hostage and are on hunger strike.
Several female activists have also described abuse and deplorable detention conditions, including a lack of ventilation despite extreme heat, and the absence of basic sanitary supplies for women.
Despite a UK citizen being among the hostages, the Starmer regime remains silent on this act of war and piracy.

And the elephant in the room is that the permitted (i.e. self-defined “credible”) “alternatives” within this closed system – from the Tories to Reform, Lib-Dems to the SNP are all equally captured and committed to the same narrow Overton Window policies currently being enacted by the Gubbin’s turn Starmer Administration.

Quite a few years ago the Right Wing Israeli Govt was going to deport thousands of its Black migrants from Israel with one of their Ministers saying “We must remove this cancer from our body.”
There was a massive outcry from around the world and they caved in.
But when the world had turned it’s head away the Right Wing Israeli Govt quietly initiated the original Rwanda policy sending (according to The Guardian) 1,600 of which after a while only 9 remained there.
Oh & 2 states is only from those who are politically ignorant in terms of history & is lazy thinking.
They seem oblivious to the fact that they are repeating the top down behaviour of the predominantly white western elite Balfour Cabinet of 108 years ago, telling Palestinians from thousands of miles away, what they may have eg this time 20% of their country back & even that would be under the supervision of the Illegal Israeli Occupation Force, some freedom, some independent state!

What worries me is that apart from Sultana no other member of the SCG has left the Labour Party and spoke in support of the new Political Party, no even Diane Abbott.
Hence, no sure how many of the 500K + sign up will join the new party as a bona fide paid up members.
It would be interesting to know how much has been raised in terms of funding from the 500K + that have signed. Political Parties need numbers in order to canvass efficiently but, it also need funds.
I am somehow sceptical that members of the SCG will jump the Labour’s boat (they should) unless their are reassurances that the new party will be financially sound.
Hence, we could be on a catch 22 situation:
– less than 100K will sign up us paid up members of the new party, because members of the SCG refuse to jump ship.
– members of the SCG refuse to jump ship because the new Party’s finances aren’t healthy enough.
– Trade Unions won’t jump ship unless the members of the SCG jump ship.
Like most people here, I am praying for a new party. However, we will have to wait and see: for all his virtues, when it comes to Corbyn been decisive isn’t one of them.
