Refugees bombed and massacred queuing for food supplement – two thirds of them children

Deir al-Balah bombed as families waited for vitamins to try to delay their kids’ starvation

Victims of the massacre being taken away by horse-drawn cart.

At least fifteen people were murdered and dozens wounded by the Israeli military this morning in a air-to-ground missile strike targeting refugees queuing in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza strip for nutritional supplements for children starving to death under Israel’s criminal blockade of food, medicines and other essentials. The vast majority of the victims were children, including ten killed. The names of the murdered victims who have been identified so far are:

• Aya Ashraf Mishmish ( 4 years old)
• Ahmad Mohammad Abu Samaha (39)
• Yasmin Ahmad Abu Samaha (2yo)
• Shafa Muwiy Abu Qutta (child)
• Moataz Billah Saif Al-Bahtini ( 2 years old)
• Mohammad Hilal Abu Hilal (2 years)
• Soma Nidal Al-Nouri (14 years)
• Amir Hatem Al-Nouri (8 years old)
• Omar Hatem Al-Nouri (11 years old)

Bodies were taken away from the scene of the occupation’s atrocity on horse-drawn carts, almost the only functioning transport remaining in Gaza after twenty-one months of genocide and wanton destruction:

So horrific was the crime that even the BBC couldn’t ignore it completely – although, of course, it understated the number of children murdered, blurred out the footage so that the true horror was hidden and ‘both-sidesed’ the massacre, reporting the Israeli military’s claims without mentioning Israel’s unbroken record of lying about atrocities it was proven to have committed and this wasn’t just the latest in a long line of denials of war crimes and crimes against humanity by the genocidal coloniser:

Israel is a terror state and the UK government is participating fully in its terrorism.

  1. BBC: “The Israeli Army said…” OK, maybe BBC “verify” could verify whether you talk to a bunch of liars as they’ve only been lying regarding the current atrocities since Oct 7th 2023. It IS important you verify both sides, you know, instead of verifying the only side that has consistently told the truth in this and previous conflicts, whilst accepting at face value the lies of the other side. It is why, BBC, so few people now trust you and why so many folk are stopping paying your very high fees.
