Israel to block food again after WFP gets one aid convoy into Gaza

Genocidal occupation is determined to keep its victims deprived of food and hope

After Israel slaughtered hundreds of Palestinians in Gaza over the last couple of days and around 400,000 people since October 2023, there was a tiny ray of light for the people as the World Food Programme (WFP) and UNICEF managed to get a single convoy of aid trucks past Israel’s starvation blockade and into the aid agencies’ warehouses.

The WFP announced it will begin distributing flour and other food to all people in Gaza as long as the trucks keep getting through, but Israel has claimed – another disproven lie – that Hamas is taking control of the aid – it’s now well known that Israeli-sponsored, ISIS-aligned gangs have been raiding food convoys and killing Palestinians.

According to Palestinian-Canadian Pulitzer Prize-winner Mosab Abu Toha, whose family still live in Gaza:

It was families in Gaza who secured the trucks and ensured the aid was unloaded at the WFP and UNICEF warehouses. Eyewitness accounts and visual evidence — photos and videos — confirm this. Israel hates the fact that food will begin to be distributed in a way that upholds human dignity.

Over the past month Israeli forces have murdered 600-800 starving Palestinians seeking food at Israel’s so-called ‘aid stations’ set up to force the people of Gaza to abandon most of their land, and have and wounded more than 4,000 others, including many women and children.

Now the occupation regime again intends to blockade the entry of food and other aid into Gaza, a blatant breach of international law, determined to prevent the resumption of sustenance and hope to a people it intends to exterminate or expel. The UK government continues to provide political support and military assistance to the wanted war criminals and rogue state.
