Netanyahu’s likud-extremists passed a law prohibiting the UNRWA from operating in Jerusalem due to its NON-EXISTENT, FICTITIOUS ties to terror organisation called ‘Hamas’ (or was it PalestineAction – lol?). And – like Starmer and other ‘rules-based’ compliance monsters they have to obey the law (when it suits ’em)

High time EVERY product, and service had two flags on them by law. One larger one to state where the product/service came from, the other to say where taxes were paid. The public could then be free to support companies that made their stuff somewhere they approve of, bearing in mind where said companies paid their taxes.
If we didn’t choose (and I don’t) to buy Israeli stuff, then that would have an effect on their economy/political decisions.

nsadly -re the fact that £0.5billionworth of NHS prescriptions come from Israel – the only option if for patients to tell their GP/pharmacist that they don’t want Israeli drugs (1-in-7 of allprescribed ‘medicines’.
Finding out who owns companies that supply pharmaceuticals requires determination and perseverance. I have three prescriptions for high blood pressure, but use only two because of side effects from one. Of course, when you check the box, they all have a British address. Then when you dig a bit deeper, the British address relates to a corporation that operates throughout Europe, but when looking out for the “beneficial owner” it turns out to be an entirely different company based in Israel!

Re 10.28 message winteringham, yes it’s difficult to know which drugs come from Israel. As a former haematologist within the NHS I can look-up medicines on clinicians databases. Two things: i) if you don’t mind disclosing here, I’ll happily ascertain if any of them are Israeli (ownership or manufacture, and ii) . – 3 hypertension medicines sounds/might be excessive. You sure your GP is on top of your prescriptions? (also, there are many non-pharmaceutical ‘nutrients’ you could use in addition or (sometimes) instead of prescription drugs. (‘google’ it, but trust/check with your GP). Some nutraceuticals are more efficacious than prescriptions and are their ‘active agents’.
