Analysis of Israel’s figures shows it murdered 377,000 Palestinians during genocide so far – half of them kids

Israel’s attempts to dismiss death toll as ‘falsely reported by Hamas’ exposed as a lie to hide horrific reality

A bereaved Palestinian father carrying the remains of his two sons in plastic bags.

A new report by Harvard University has confirmed what opponents of Israel’s genocide in Gaza have always known: that the number of people murdered by Israel in Gaza far exceeds the official death toll and that Israel’s propaganda attempts to discredit even the official toll as exaggerated are a shameful lie.

The official death toll in Gaza of just under60,000 so far was always clearly an under-estimate, because the Gaza health ministry only counts bodies recovered and brought to a hospital. Victims buried under rubble or blown apart with their few remains gathered into plastic bags are not included.

But Yaakov Garb’s report for Harvard Dataverse has analysed the Israeli military’s own data and combined these with careful spatial mapping to reveal a demographic horror story: almost 400,000 people – at least 377,000 – have disappeared from Gaza’s pre-genocide population of 2.227 million, reducing it to 1.85 million when measured for the study.

Israel and its propagandists have tried to dismiss the official death toll as Palestinian propaganda, but those who have watched the relentless bombing, shelling, shooting and starvation of Israel’s live-streamed extermination campaign knew full well it was much higher than the official figure.

Israel has murdered almost one in five of the innocent people of Gaza, including – based on half of the people of Gaza being children – more than 150,000 children.

Israel is a terror state. Keir Starmer and every ‘leader’ assisting in its genocide belong on trial in the Hague.

  1. Being reported the iranians have hit a hospital in beersheba.., causing “extensive damage”.

    Oh, OK then.

    1. I feel in some way that to feel no empathy for Israeli people makes me as bad as their leaders, but yes Toffee I have a similar reaction. Even more shamefully, I sometimes find myself thinking “bring it on”, let the Israelis be massacred just as their State has massacred Palestinians.

How has the world stood by and let Netanyahu along with his murderous colleagues turn Gaza into a charnel house and now begun a totally unprovoked attack against Iran, with all the implications of that. I truly despair.

    2. Yes, Mr Netanyahu most upset that Iran is attacking civilians whilst Israel only attacks military targets (BS of course_). But what neither he, nor the BBC told us was that it is the military hospital for soldiers wounded in Gaza. Puts a totally different slant on it doesn’t it?

More BS from the BBC this morning. Journalists have “difficulty reporting from Tehran……… Sometimes the BS writes itself.”

And yet more BS. I found an Israeli channel last night reporting from Tel Aviv. The damage was horrendous unlike the deliberate mis-information that only Tehran was suffering destruction.

And yet more BS, apparently Iranians are fleeing Tehran. Well in the video, the Israelis had all “disappeared” from that area of Tel Aviv. They wouldn’t have been able to live in those destroyed buildings anyway.

The girl doing the filming stated that the authorities were cracking down on anyone taking photos or videos of the damage. Nice of the BBC to follow Israeli rules on how well they are doing….

      1. But what neither he, nor the BBC told us was that it is the military hospital for soldiers wounded in Gaza. Puts a totally different slant on it doesn’t it?

Not at all. Bombing hospitals is a snide’s trick, full stop.

That said, according to reports, apparently there is some sort of military industrial complex quite close by.

So if it WAS Iran – And I’m EXTREMELY sceptical at this time…

Also kinda wipes the eyes of the foaming pro-zionist mouthpiece lunatics in the torygraph BTL.

      2. Sorry Toffee, my sympathy for the fate of Israelis ran out the same time their lack of sympathy for Palestinians became obscene. I’m guessing folks across the world feel similar. That may make me a bad person, … so I’m as bad as large numbers of Israelis I guess.

      3. Perhaps I should’ve made it clearer.

There is no moral high ground. And I don’t condone bombing of hospitals of any side – be they friend or foe. And I consider neither israel or iran as my friend.

Although I DO consider israel to deserve what they’re getting. Furthermore, their (israel’s) incessant, hypocritical whinging only strengthens my view.

My problem is that it isn’t anywhere’s near enough. If that .makes me – or anyone with a similar outlook – the baddie, so be it.

    3. Looks like they can’t get their stories straight … (from teh Guardian…

“Haim Bublil, a local police commander, told reporters from the Associated Press (AP) that several people were lightly wounded in the strike on Soroka hospital in southern Israel.

He said there was a fire in a six-story building that was hard to access, and that rescuers were still searching various buildings and moving patients to safer areas of the hospital.

A hospital statement said several parts of the medical centre were damaged and that the emergency room was treating several minor injuries.

The medical complex has over 1,000 beds and provides services to the approximately 1 million residents of Israel’s south.”

So no-one hurt, beyond snagging a nail …. or is it deaths aplenty?

      1. Seems them israelis have the same luck as that lad from the plane crash in Ahmedabad last week…IF nobody’s copped it.

They ought to have a bet on Everton winning the league.

  2. As of the end of June last year, the US (Biden and Co) had sent Israel fourteen thousand 2,000lb bombs since October 7th, 2023, with a potential kill-zone radius of 300m. Even if each one only killed an average of ten people, that would amount to 140,000, but the average number would almost definitely be much higher than that. And the US has no doubt sent thousand more to Israel since then, so the 377,000 figure sounds totally plausible:

US has sent Israel 14,000 2,000-pound bombs since October

Each of these bombs has a blast radius of up to 500 feet and is highly lethal up to 250 feet. In some cases, they can be lethal up to 1,200 feet away. If dropped on a city block, one of these bombs would damage nearly every building on the block and potentially kill dozens or hundreds of people.

Among the most notorious uses of this weapon was the October 31 strike that destroyed the Jabalia refugee camp, killing or wounding over 400 people. The use of these massive bombs has largely been phased out by the American military, nominally because of their massive potential for “collateral damage.”

This of course makes a complete nonsense of the claim the IDF have made on numerous occasions that they don’t target civilians on the one hand, and that they target Hamas with precision strikes on the other. As of the last time I checked a few months ago, the only MSM news outlet that had mentioned 2,000lb bombs being used by Israel was the Guardian, and in just the one article, and only in passing, and said nothing whatsoever about their lethal range. And apart from a handfull of exceptions, the same goes for the whole of the MSM in West.

  3. Sky news now showing live pictures of the damaged building…And israel’s banned that, hasn’t it?

Oh, and no deaths reported …busy hospital like that? 😙🎶

…And wait until you read the shrieks of (the victim) herzog.

  4. Herzog:

Speaking about the hospital in Beersheba hit by Iranian strikes, Herzog says: “A baby in intensive care. A mother by their bedside. A doctor rushing between beds. An elderly resident in a nursing home. These were some of the targets of Iran’s missile attacks on Israeli civilians this morning.”

Well according to your mates, nobody gives a fuck if you boomb hospitals and murder women, children, the sick.

They’re the words of the israeli cabinet.

So why the fuck should I give the remotest shite about your hospital getting bombed – regardless of who’s responsible? (Because I’m calling bullshit; a false flag – given you’ve already murdered your own)

‘Babies in intensive care’ is it?

Like those you’ve allowed to perish in gaza, rather than save?

Cry me a fucking river. Go on, get to fuck out of it.

  5. Fuck it – I’m not finished…

    “A doctor, rushing between beds”

Like those in gaza, captured and tortured and mutilated…that’s those you HAVENT murdered?

    ‘An elderly resident”

…Who HASNT been used as a human shield to go into houses to potentially set off booby traps – then shot dead when they’re no longer any use?

Fucking rats. The chickens aee coming home to roost. Get some.

  6. Off topic again….

Of all the scumbags the beeb are interviewing regarding getting dual ‘British nationals” out if israel….

    They’re asking rictus grin patel.

    Yes, THAT patel…sacked for??

  7. “Defence minister Israel Katz says Iran’s supreme leader ‘personally gives the order to fire on hospitals’”

Whereas he can despite ordering about 20 hospitals, their staff and aid workers to be destroyed. A total lack of logic by another murderous zealot. They make AH look humane!

    1. This was a point made by some beaut on the torygraph comments section that I somehow got to view this morning.

They were going on about the rodents at least giving warning to the gazan hospitals to be evacuated before they pummeled them.

      No….honestly!!
