Israeli forces bombed Iranian capital Tehran and other locations throughout Iran last night, with at least a dozen explosions in the capital and around a hundred more around the country. The Iranian Revoluntionary Guard’s most senior commander and a number of other senior military officers were assassinated in the strikes, in what even US Democrats have condemned as a ‘reckless escalation’ by Israel.
Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu and his spokespeople published droning speeches claiming that Israel’s attacks were self-defence because Iran is close to developing a nuclear weapon – a claim that very few expert analysts agree with. US and, privately Israeli, intelligence officials have said that Iran is not only not close to having nuclear weapons but is not ‘actively pursuing’ them:

Yet of course, western ‘mainstream’ media and governments, especially in the UK, are regurgitating Israel’s propaganda without scrutiny or question.
Jordan helped Israel by shooting down some of the drones Iran fired back in immediate retaliation, but it is likely that much more is to follow. Israel’s tired excuses for its attacks on its neighbours have worn so thin as to be transparent.

Agree Dave. The diverse working class of no country is our enemy.

And this is our hope; we are amongst our diverse working class & progressive middle classes & we can campaign amongst our neighbours but we need to communicate well using emotion & facts.
Gramsci argued internationalism is the highest form of class conscious and if we’re honest we are ahead of a significant number.
