Video: Thousands flooding to Egypt for Gaza march – and Libyans give free fuel to whole convoy

Community spirit and solidarity for anti-genocide march – Libyans generous to massive convoy, passengers chant through Amsterdam airport

Thousands of people are flooding to Egypt from all over the world for the peaceful Global March to Gaza that hopes to break Israel’s illegal starvation siege and release the tens of thousands of tonnes of food, medicines and other essentials for life that Israel is blocking at the Rafah crossing between Egypt and Gaza.

The ‘Sumud Convoy’ from Algeria and Tunisia has crossed North Africa to a tumultuous welcome from local people, including Libyans feeding the travellers and giving free fuel to the whole huge convoy:

And in Amsterdam, a large crowd of marchers from Europe changed and sang in Amsterdam’s Schiphol airport as they arrived for their flights to Cairo:

People from more than fifty countries are travelling to Cairo as Israel desperately tries to bully Egypt into blocking the march:

Israeli defence minister Israel Katz has claimed that Egypt has agreed to ban the march, but march organisers said that Egypt has neither approved nor denied the march and has shown no sign of imposing any ban. Earlier this week, Israel illegally rammed, boarded and seized the humanitarian aid ship Madleen and forced its crew into imprisonment in Israel.

The protesters will travel the first 350km from Cairo toward Rafah in a convoy of buses on Thursday, then walk the final 50km of desert over 3 days to arrive for Sunday, where the official protest will begin and last for several days. The movement says that its core demands are:

• an immediate end to Israel’s genocide in Gaza
• an immediate end to its months-long starvation blockade
• immediate full and unhindered entry of aid into Gaza
• protection of Gaza’s bombed, battered and collapsing healthcare systems
• international sanctions on Israel, including a full arms embargo

Well-wishers can find out more at marchtogaza.net; regular updates and footage will be available via @globalmarchtogaza on Instagram and on TikTok.

Update: the march organisers have published a statement saying that the Egyptian government has agreed to host the march. The Israeli regime must be raving:

UK Officials Face Resignation Demand Over Gaza Policy!

    1. The total absence of due process principles and standards along with disdain for any law which is inconvenient by this so-called “Labour” Government mirrors the practice of how the Labour Party has approached discipline and rules within its own party organisation.

Treating any allegation as an automatic guilty verdict, with the accused being forced to prove they are not guilty of a verdict already arrived at and even punishing party members through retrospective charges by fiat. Such is the arrogance of these people and those who would cheerlead and shill for them.

Those of us who are familiar with this approach as a result of personal experience of what passes for due process in the LP warned at the time that any “Labour” Government under the Security State’s little puppet, Herr Starmer and his lackey’s, would take the Country down this Malice in Blunderland rabbit hole.

Civil Servants have been put in a position of either resigning from their job – which risks putting a roof over their families heads, shoes on their feet and food on the table – or likely facing war crimes charges for obeying orders (Europe has been down this road before).

Falastin (1911-1947): A Written Record that Destroys Zionism’s Biggest Lie

Since its founding in 1911, the newspaper Falastin gave voice to Palestinian nationalism and identity. It documented the struggle for a homeland as it unfolded — exposing, page by page, the falsehood of Zionist claims denying Palestinian peoplehood.

    1. Great find PW, thanks. The “March 25, 1925 English Edition La Palestine On Occasion of Lord Balfour’s Visit” refers to a special edition of a publication that addressed the situation in Palestine during Lord Balfour’s visit. This edition highlighted the opposition from the Arab community to the Jewish homeland in Palestine, criticizing the British government for allowing itself to become a tool in the hands of the Jews for furthering their nationalist aims in Palestine.

FWIW, the publication also questioned the League of Nations for seeking to administer a mandate in Palestine that was incompatible with Article 22 of the League’s covenant, which outlined the mandatory system. Additionally, it criticised the government of Palestine for pursuing a policy that granted a focused position to the Jewish minority, which was seen as unjust to the Arab majority.

No wonder Hamas is the DEMOCRATIC CHOICE of most Palestinians.
