Half also want all Israeli products in shops boycotted
Well over half of British people want the UK government to impose a complete arms embargo on Israel, according to new Opinium Research polling commissioned by the Palestine Solidarity Campaign (PSC). The poll, taken from 30 May to 2 June, found that:
- 57% of people want a full UK arms embargo on Israel, with only 13% opposed
- 53% of people think Israel should be expelled from the United Nations
- half of respondents said Israeli products in supermarkets should be boycotted
- 54% backed the imposition of sanctions on Israel’s self-described fascist finance minister Bezalel Smotrich, a supporter of Israel’s starvation blockade of Gaza who agreed to stay in the Netanyahu cabinet in return for ‘extensive’ attacks on the occupied West Bank
Despite the complicit silence of the BBC and other UK ‘mainstream’ media and the refusal of government even to acknowledge, public awareness of and outrage at Israel’s genocide and other crimes in Gaza, especially its wanton and deliberate slaughter of children and its months-long starvation blockade on the entire population, continues to increase and the people of the UK are rightly disgusted with this criminality and the UK government’s assistance in Israel’s impunity.

Not before time, yesterday (Wed 04/06) the UK voted for a UN Security Council Resolution calling for an immediate ceasefire and unrestricted humanitarian access to the Gaza Strip, .
14 of the 15 Council members (including the UK) voted in favour of the draft. The US preventing its adoption by casting the sole opposing vote.
Not only an embargo but also an inquiry into the complicity of the previous Conservative and current so called ‘Labour’ Governments and the individual Ministers and other officials and military service personnel responsible into actively aiding and abetting these war crimes…..
