‘Many’ killed and more wounded as Israel’s plan to use food to ethnically cleanse starving Palestinians collapses into chaos
Israeli occupation forces have opened fire with tanks and machine guns on desperate Palestinian refugees trying to get some of the tiny amount of food Israel has allowed into Gaza. Israel is using the ‘aid’ as bait to draw Palestinians, whom it has starved for almost three months through an illegal and total blockade, into concentration camps in the south, ethnically cleansing the rest of Gaza and forcing the population into prisons controlled by US mercenaries.
However, so desperate and so many are Israel’s victims that the mercenaries – reportedly paid more than £1,000 a day to help Israel commit its crimes – were unable to control them, fleeing as the situation rapidly collapsed into chaos because the foreign troops were so slow in processing the starving people before they were allowed any food:
Occupation forces then opened fire on the starving crowd, killing large numbers and wounding dozens of refugees according to Arabic media. Palestinian-Canadian Pulitzer Prize winner Mosab Abu Toha wrote that:
Israeli soldiers opened fire at starved people, mostly children and women, this evening in Rafah. Reports say that many were killed and wounded and many more went missing today.
Israeli forces begin shooting at helpless, starving refugees.
Even in its criminal plan, Israel is trying to profit from the misery and desperation it has created, selling Israel-produced food products for use in Gaza while many tens of thousands of tonnes of international humanitarian aid remain blocked at the border.
Jeremy Konyndyk of Refugees International described Israel’s plan as:
militarized aid, full stop. To get aid from the GHF, you would need tens of thousands of Palestinians passing through an IDF line, then through armed security before picking up what they need to pick up,
a situation guaranteed to create chaos and endanger civilians.
Around two million people are currently facing starvation in Gaza, with more than three hundred thousand children in imminent danger of dying from malnutrition according to the United Nations – far more than the number mentioned in this Al Jazeera report:
All this while Israel continues to bomb and shoot Palestinians throughout Gaza, particularly targeting children and the tents and shelters of refugees. More than two hundred thousand civilians have been murdered so far.

How do I know Israel’s claim is utterly worthless? For this simple reason:
Israel has a fleet of surveillance drones constantly hovering over the tiny strip of land that is Gaza, monitoring every inch of the territory. The incessant whine you hear every time you watch someone there being interviewed is from one of those drones. They are Israel’s eyes on the enclave. If you are outside in Gaza, you might as well be living in the Truman Show.
Were Hamas stealing aid in Gaza, Israel would easily be able to document it. It would have the video footage from its drones. The fact that it has not provided any footage showing Hamas’ theft of aid – its ransacking of aid trucks, or its fighters smuggling themselves into aid warehouses – is confirmation enough that Israel has simply invented this claim to rationalise its plans to starve the people of Gaza to death through months of an aid blockade or force them to flee into neighbouring Sinai, whichever comes first.”

As Cook notes in the link you provided, Julia, the Western media and politicians will provide cover and print the evidence free lies and too many will lap those lies up and willingly regurgitate them.
As those Western politicians and media do in every foreign conflict in which they have a pecuniary interest and play an active part. Cook’s analysis is just as applicable to Syria and 404 as it is to Gaza and was to Libya, Somalia, Iraq et al in the past.

If hamas were stealing aid they’d have been blown to bits in the act….along with the innocents they were stealing from.
Oh….hang on…there are no innocents in gaza.
US/Israel Occupation Force Neo-Liberalism ploughing the gutter as via their £1,000 a day lumpen inexperienced private aid workers they seek profit from starving people & emaciated children.
Oh & the garbage aid on offer was made in the entity occupied by the illegal occupation forces area to boost their business profits as BDS has deprived it probably of up to £400b now.
You could weep at their barbarism and the Wests complicity but the oppressed of the world will keep on fighting on the side of Palestine until we have justice.
