Documentary’s director will attend showing remotely and Palestinian academic Dr Mahmoud Soliman in person

Selly Oak Palestine Solidarity (SOPS) is putting on a screening of the Oscar winning documentary “NO OTHER LAND” on Sunday 11th May at 7pm at The Old Print Works, Moseley Road, Balsall Heath, Birmingham B12 9AH, attended remotely by the film’s director Basel Adra. An announcement by the group reads:
We are delighted to have the Oscar winning director Basel Adra join us for the evening on zoom for a Q and A after the screening, along with Palestinian activist and academic Dr Mahmoud Soliman live in person.
The documentary exposes the brutal nature of the Israeli occupation of the West Bank, offering a powerful view of destruction of Palestinian homes and the unlikely friendship between a Palestinian filmmaker and an Israeli journalist.
Selly Oak Palestine Solidarity is an informal group of neighbours and community activists that campaigns for the liberation of Palestine from occupation by an Israeli Apartheid State distinctly genocidal in its intent.
The screening is open to everyone.
Despite winning the best documentary Academy Award, the film has not been widely shown in cinemas in the UK as the Israel lobby pressures venues not to host it.

Sorry, but if it’s being screened within 100 miles of a synagogue then it’s promoting antisemitism and therefore must be prevented.
Isn’t that right, West Midlands

Toffee – I love you too. 😘
In the spirit of plugging films which criticise murderous attacks on civilians which have the intent to drive those civilians and their culture from the land they inhabit because they are viewed by the attackers as an inferior people, it seems appropriate to highlight the film “Roses Have Thorns” – given that last Friday, May 2nd, was the eleventh anniversary of the neo-Nazi attack which was the warm up for the Civil War in the Donbass:
Thanks for that information SteveH and Toffee!!!

REVEALED: UK Government’s SECRET Deal with Israel
What passes for Labour Government has taken the concept of disingenuousness to a new low level.
One way or another, its entire leadership cadre and the rest of the British Establishment and the scribes, along with their counterparts in Zionist Israel, the USA and across Europe who are all in on this need to share the same end as those in the dock at Nuremberg.
