Israel extends theft of Gaza to two-thirds – and almost two-thirds is ‘designated kill zone’

New, illegal ‘buffer zone’ and no-go areas leave Palestinians being bombed in tiny fraction of already tiny Strip – and subject to execution if they leave it

Israel’s latest, extended – and completely illegal – ‘buffer zone’ in Gaza has extended its theft of the Palestinians’ land in the Strip to two thirds of the besieged territory and has made them subject to execution by occupation forces if they leave it, while they are bombed daily if they remain. The map above, from the Gaza Maps X account, shows the buffer zone, which represents half of Gaza: 182.3519 sq km, 49.96% of the total.

With forced displacement orders and no-go zones included, Israel has declared two-thirds of Gaza off-limits to Palestinians – and almost as much, 62%, has been designated by the occupation military as ‘designated kill zones’, making Palestinians subject to immediate execution if they stray into them:

This morning, Israel ordered more civilians who have survived the genocide so far, in southern Khan Younis,to abandon their shelters and tents immediately and flee to the ‘safe zone’ of Al Mawasi – the new displacement, shown below, is not shown in the 62% kill-zone map above:

Al Mawasi has been bombed almost daily throughout the genocide and even more intensively since Israel engineered the collapse of the so-called ‘ceasefire’ last month, including with US-made ‘mother of all bombs’ and particularly targeting children in the packed refugee zone. More people are being forced into a tiny shooting gallery while the rogue state of Israel effectively annexes Gaza, in complete contempt for international law and humanity and with the active support and participation of the UK and US governments.
