Starmer isn’t finished with his war on children and ‘Education Secretary’ Phillipson is happy to play along
Keir Starmer’s Labour is planning a fresh attack on the UK’s children, with the collaboration of ‘Education’ Secretary Bridget Phillipson.
After announcing policies in government that will keep a million and a half children in grinding poverty by maintaining the Tories’ unlawful ‘two-child benefit cap’, hammer children with disabled or mentally ill parents even harder and take school meals away from a million poor children when they move from primary to secondary school, Phillipson has now offered to ‘help’ by launching a £500 million assault on school funding that will hit children of all ages, but especially younger kids and girls, by:
- ending universal free meals for infant school pupils
- axing funding for free period products in schools
- axe dance, music and PE schemes
The Kid Starver‘s contempt for the lives of more than 100,000 Palestinian children murdered in Gaza by Israel and the million more facing bombing and starvation is clearly matched by his disdain for millions of poor children in the UK.

THE UK Government is not planning to axe free school meals and period products for English pupils, a source has insisted.
In a strongly-worded briefing to the PA news agency, a Department for Education source said that reports suggesting Bridget Phillipson was considering cutting free programmes were “complete rubbish”.

– Lower-income households to become £500 a year poorer by the end of the decade.
– 250,000 more people, including 50,000 children, will be left in relative poverty after housing costs by the end of the decade as a result of the government’s squeeze on welfare, according to an impact assessment by the Treasury.
– Cuts to 3 million families on incapacity benefits.
– Cuts to 800,000 people on Personal Independence Payments.
– State Pension to cross the tax threshold by next year.
– Employment growth restricted in favour of bombs rather than butter.
And that is on top of previous cuts to the most vulnerable;
– Winter fuel payments.
– Two child cap.
– Scrapping of free school meals for children attending Secondary/Senior school.
