Far-right pro-Israel group threatens UN’s Albanese with pager attack during London visit

Group that said ‘not enough’ children’s blood had been spilled in Gaza turns its sights on international lawyer who opposes Israel’s genocide and crimes against humanity

Ultra-Zionist group Betar, considered fascist since its inception in the 1920s, has a appeared to threaten UN special rapporteur for the occupied Palestinian territories Francesca Albanese with violence and even an attempt on her life during her visit to London this week.

In a social media post on Sunday the group wrote:

Join us to give Francesca a [pager emoji] in London on Tuesday.

The post appears to reference Israel’s terrorist pager attacks in Lebanon, which killed dozens of people and maimed thousands of others – a clear war crime under international law. The group has tried to force pagers on anti-Zionists, including Jews, in the US, notably Jewish academic and author Norman Finkelstein:

It is not the first time the group has incited similar violence against Ms Albanese – in fact, it appears to have an obsession with it:

Betar also, in a now-deleted post, demanded more ‘blood in Gaza’, saying that not enough Palestinian babies had been killed:

So extremist is Betar that even the vehemently pro-Israel so-called Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has condemned it and added Betar to its ‘terrorism database’:

Lebanese victims of the pager terrorism often lost eyes and fingers or whole hands as they held the pagers to read the incoming message. Others were crippled as the devices went off in pockets.

A propaganda image accompanying Betar’s threat to Albanese read: “Protest: Stop radicalising students” along with checkboxes listing accusations such as “October 7th denial,” “Hamas support,” and “antisemitic statements”, and “There is no place for Jew hate on campus”. Israel and its supporters have frequently smeared Ms Albanese as antisemitic for her principled stand opposing the Gaza genocide, the oppression of the Palestinian people and Israel’s murder of children – a tactic also used against student anti-genocide protesters and others in the UK and US. She is visiting London to speak on Tuesday at University College London (UCL).

Betar ahas also supported extremist right-wing hate-spreader and repeat criminal ‘Tommy Robinson’, currently in jail for spreading false and hateful claims about a Syrian refugee.

Understandably, many social media users considered the post as a threat of violence and condemned it accordingly, calling on both police and the Twitter/X platform to take action against the ‘clear’ threat and incitement to violence.

Betar has also boasted of compiling a list of people it wants the US government to deport for their anti-genocide activities. The list included the names of Mahmoud Khalil and other permanent US residents who have been ‘disappeared’ by immigration officials despite the government admitting they have committed no crime. Betar has also been filmed attempting to disrupt a Finkelstein speaking event and has targeted Palestinian-American activist Nerdeen Kiswani, offering $1,800 to “anyone who hands that jihadi [Kiswani] a beeper”.

The Zionist lobby internationally has particularly targeted Ms Albanese, including threats to venues who were booked to host her during recent speaking engagements in Germany.

The police must take action against Zionist thugs who attempt to silence opponents – but are likely to be too busy targeting anti-genocide journalists and campaigners as part of Keir Starmer’s war on voices who speak up for Palestinians and for international law. The group also belongs on the UK’s list of proscribed terror groups.

This is a common tactic by not only groups like this but also the ruling Oligarch class, their scribes, and their sycophantic cheerleaders.

Anyone at any level – from international bodies, politicians, commentators, writers, broadcasters, proper journalists right down to BTL observers – who highlights facts and evidence which contradict The Official Narrative (TON) is threatened, smeared, defamed, slandered, libelled, attacked, gaslighted, sanctioned, outlawed, cancelled, and even put on kill lists by fascistic cowards hiding behind anonymity and/or by misusing usurped power with zero evidence to support such positions.

    Even on this site’s space.
