Video: ‘if anything happens to me, the BBC is responsible’ says Gaza documentary child

Abdullah al-Yazouri speaks out about BBC’s collusion in genocide and the threats he has received since

13yo Abdullah al-Yazouri, the child narrator of the BBC documentary ‘Gaza: how to survive a warzone’, which the broadcaster deleted – and grovellingly apologised for – after manufactured outrage by UK pro-Israel groups, has spoken out about the abuse he has received in the wake of the BBC’s cowardice, his hopes for himself and for Gaza and its children.

And, in a video provided to Middle East Eye, he warns that if anything happens to him after he was targeted and smeared, the BBC will be responsible:

The Israel lobby’s smears have frequently seen Palestinians and their supporters targeted for threats and physical violence – including Palestinian poet and academic Refaat Alareer, murdered along with family members in December 2023 after being smeared by apologists for the genocidal regime.

The BBC has a legal obligation to protect children who appear in its programmes. It has abandoned that duty in the case of Abdullah al-Yazouri, in another example of its collaboration in the Israel lobby’s dehumanisation of Palestinians.
